Summary: John Payne, Pat Nicholas, Dr. Jeff Bernstein, Paul "The Assassin" Haas and Henry Tran returned for this first semi-final match of the third season. Betting started generally low, but play quickly became very competitive when John Payne split and then doubled in the second hand, putting a total of $42,000 on the table. Pat Nicholas was the first player out of the game. She was knocked out in the first knockout round, done in by a streak of bad cards and betting that wasn't aggressive enough. As the second knockout round loomed, Paul Haas and Henry Tran found themselves in major trouble.
