Funny, smart, very likable characters and Lena Olin. One of the best summer shows yet. The characters almost exclusively speak Swedish but that only allows you to better identify with the American duck out of water.

The pilot was great! The characters are primarily swedish, lots of subtitles, and excellent humor. I love this kind of show: smart, quirky, and full of characters that are really odd but totally recognizable. Great energy in the show. Love that it is set in Sweden. The clash of cultures is fun to watch.

This show is sweet. I love fish out of water shows in terms of Americans in different countries and its interesting to learn about Sweden (because really, who ever thinks of Sweden?). Definitely recommend it if you are looking for something different. it beats BBT reruns.

Neat premise - great cast. Quirky story line is something different, great idea to have Swedish actors and subtitles. Hope this show gets a chance, looking forward to the next episode,

I previously gave this a 4 as I thought they sterotyped Swedes a bit strong(but well most of it can be true) but yesterday with episodes 8&9 on NBC last night they were back with great smart humor and the emotions come thru very well especially with Josephine and Amy Poehlers acting. Brilliant. As is the scenery of their locations in Sweden. This is a fresh series, smart witty humor. Neither [Welcome to Sweden or "Working the Engels"] is awful, neither will make you cancel other plans.... The execution is slick, and sister Amy has cameos, but how many times can they make the sauna jokes?

As Bruce meanders through these segments, determinedly inoffensive, the "Seinfeld" team's immortal notion via George Costanza--"let's do a sitcom about nothing"--comes to mind

Sweden is a quiet, gently amusing comedy.
