The finale, meanwhile, has some beautiful moments here and there. Once again, plenty of our cast shine, with some threads being wonderfully tied together. Cavill's final scenes are, unfortunately, somewhat inconsequential, and while the very final moments of the season set up season 4, we have to wonder how much viewers really care.

Three seasons into The Witcher, we're almost exactly back where we started, except this time, Geralt's finally running toward his destiny instead of away from it. It might be a revelation for Geralt, but it's unfortunately nothing new for the audience.

Season 3 amounts to disappointment. As it subtly acknowledges the parting of star Henry Cavill while simultaneously attempting to hype its audience for the two Cavill-less seasons yet to come, The Witcher’s confused – and confusing – direction has never been more apparent.

'The Witcher' doesn't dwell on Henry Cavill's exit, and while it shouldn't have to, the final three episodes of the latest season still don't do enough to create genuine excitement for the Liam Hemsworth era.

They really delayed the release of a few episodes for this trash? Good luck with Season 4. No one is going to watch it after this freaking disaster.

Henry Cavill not wanting to have anything to do with this show tells you everything you need to know.
