More character-driven, detailed & vaster with better writing, world-building, cinematography, action & VFX, Wheel of Time S2 outdoes its precursor in all departments. A considerable achievement making it a contender to be one of the best fantasy shows in recent times.

I enjoyed season one, but it obviously had its shortcomings. Season two for me is a major upgrade in almost every area. Developing the world Robert Jordan created into a TV series is a daunting task for sure, but this group is succeeding in ways so many adaptations fail. This is definitely not a direct adaptation from the books, and to be honest, if it was nobody would like it because there are major sections of the books that are long-winded and boring. The wheel of Time TV show is successfully creating intentional storylines to keep the heart of the story intact while allowing for a pleasurable TV viewing experience. As any books and will tell you the story as a whole is one of the best fantasy stories of our time. But there is no denying that there are large sections of the books that are difficult to get through and slow. The TV show fixes this and brings this world to so many people that would never take the time to read all the books. costuming and sets are improved, acting, and dialogue has improved and is very good. Character development is much better this season, I’m three episodes in and can’t wait for more! Expand

Season 2 so far is a big improvement upon s1 across all dimensions, particularly the writing. Every scene effectively accomplishes multiple tasks such as character development, world building, and plot advancement. If the season pays off through the end, I will increase my score.

The initial launch of 3 episodes in season 2 improve on everything from season 1 and begin to really highlight the vast and dangerous world Robert Jordan created. The longer run time is put to much better use allowing the show to breathe where it felt constricted in season 1.
It's not perfect, but as a fantasy wonk this is scratching all the itches for me right now and has me excited to see where it goes and as someone who has read the books, the excitement of not knowing everything is refreshing, closest you can get to reading for the first time again and I love it.

Better production values and writing than S1. A lot of changes from the books but I’m excited to watch how it all unfolds. The first 3 episodes contain a lot of setup but the rest of the season promises to be great

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am amazed by the rhythm this tv show has, thanks to the deep bond characters share with each others. Many themes are involved, from loss to friendship, from religon to self-sufficiency, from instinct to social restraints.
In my opinion every actor is performing really well, though rarely they appear to be pretentious. Lighting effects are really good too, even if the glimpses of magic could be better.
Anyway I am keen on watching more and more from this tale.

Season 2 so far is proving that you don't need to copy every little thing from the source material to make a good adaptation. In every aspect where season 1 failed to deliver, season 2 is a marked improvement.
Season 2 is simply really good television, and manages to keep easter eggs, hints and foreshadowing to future events and characters that book readers will know.

Does it have room for improvement? Sure. Every show has. But The Wheel of Time proves that it doesn't need a 500 million dollar budget to be great, and Amazon should heed that.

This season is much better put together and tru to the books. It has so many Easter eggs. I've seen the first 3 episodes twice already and still haven't caught them all. Just brilliant!

Massive improvement on S1, and even though the story veers far from the books, it's enjoyable. Some of the stuff that is show-only is really enjoyable. Better production, characterization, lightning, filming, costuming... Basically every department was improved.

Season 2 is a marked improvement from Season 1. Writing, acting, CGI, and a world that feels lived in -- all have seem significantly improvements.

As a lover of the books (12+ re-reads and counting), the adaptation takes plenty of liberties, changes plenty of plot points, and manages to keep intact the overarching narrative and the what makes each of the characters so interesting.

It is a shame to see bad-faith review bombing of a great piece of storytelling because it is not a word-for-word adaptation. Highly recommend what I've seen so far in season 2 and can't wait to see the rest.

S1 of WoT was fun but had some rough spots. S2 is a whole ‘nother beast that shows marked improvements in the writing, production, and overall experience. It’s very good TV and if you’re looking for an amazing fantasy with lots of magic, a diverse cast, and an interesting premise, this is the one for you.

This show still has a lot of room to grow, but it's taken several steps in the right direction compared to the first season.

Based on the first four episodes of S2 so far, this is an excellent start. I especially love how they addressed some of my concerns from S1, including the lighting and editing/pacing. Things just look better, scenes are allowed room to breathe, there's more emotional impact, and things flow better.

While there are some good performances and promising narrative threads, the season will need to get back on track quickly to live up to the potential it showed in season 1.
