As "Star Trek: Picard" would put it, the "sheer f.....g hubris" of a table of screenwriters is immediately apparent in Season two of "The Wheel of Time". How can a motley crew of upstart, unexperienced, Woke activists have the guile or the audacity to think themselves better than A HUGO AWARD winning Science fiction author in Robert Jordan? Well, to the detriment of all of humanity, they did; and thus was birthed "The Wheel of Time", a contemporary television series that serves as vehicle for an inhuman political ideology and a desperate cash-grab; both of which are typical of this generation of Hollywood.

This production undermines every single plot choice, every character nuance, and every world building consideration that the late Robert Jordan weaved into his writings. Furthermore, the cast and access media are willing to shill for this ghastly lack of respect to the source material; going as far as claiming that its an improvement on the original books; an absolutely ridiculous claim that is so far fetched, its akin to claiming that your dog could paint a mural better than Michelangelo... and NO, I'm not talking about the Ninja Turtle....

I've seen the physical pain that is show inflicts on friends and family around me. It's hard to see something you love be disdained, abused, dissected and exploited, with absolutely no care given. The Wheel of Time is a legacy narrative! There are people who see Robert Jordan's writings as pivotal in their lives; whether it be inspiration, relaxation, or higher meaning. This production delivers no such depth, and is a spiteful bastardization of what Jordan wanted to transmit to his audience. As such, I ask you to not support this series, and to expect more from Hollywood, and require more from your dollar.

I hated season 1, I think I gave it 3 points, but I was bored and I'm all for second chances so I watched the first episode of season 2 last night. What can I say, they added insult to injury and season 2 starts even worse than the first one. There are maybe 5 minutes that remind me of the books, the rest is something else. If the something else would be entertaining, I wouldn't mind, butI hated season 1, I think I gave it 3 points, but I was bored and I'm all for second chances so I watched the first episode of season 2 last night. If the something else would be entertaining, I wouldn't mind, but it is boring as hell and badly written and continues the strong women useless men trope from season 1. The only decent actress in this pile of garbage is Rosamund, she makes some scenes bearable, albeit her character is borderline unlikeable. The rest of the show is an excuse, to give the ugliest bunch of talentfree actresses I have ever seen on screen a job. Don't watch, you might end up scratching your eyes out, which would probably be less painful than watching this hate crime. Expand

Here is everything that made me dislike the first season, only more: the men are useless, stupid or simps, the women are wonderful even when they are not (there can not be a bad woman here!), nothing makes sense, everyone is horny (and we are constantly reminded of it), even costumes are clean and freshly ironed which irritates me terribly.... Did I write that nothing makes sense? Because the fact that with the books the series has nothing to do but names I don't think I need to mention. But it tells us a lot about the creators of this crap... Seson 1 was 5/10, this one is pure garbage, it's not for book fans, nor is it for casual viewers with more than two brain cells... Expand

This is a complete bastardization or RJ’s work. It’s a shame it made it past season one, but I suppose they are have little choice considering how much money they’ve lost destroying successful IPs.

The show is the manifestation of the "No, we have [X] at home". What we wanted was a lovingly made show that pays homage to the original story. What we got is disrespectful to the books and the audience.
This is better than the first season, but only marginally. I don't think the show will survive past this or the next season.

This seasons suffers the same bouts of woefully inadequate screen writing from season 1. Said competent writing would have compensated for the changes to Robert Jordans story if the screen writers were competent. As it stands this season is just high budget middle school level fan fiction unworthy of book fans and fans of season 1.

Absolutely abysmal. The first season was as well, but there was some hope Amazon would course correct after their initial failure. Sadly, that is not the case. Without getting into spoilers let’s just say that they continue to not adapt the books and instead invent poorly written characters and change fundamental things in the world for seemingly no purpose. It's incredible how they can take the worst parts of Jordan's writing style and make an entire show about it.

Season 1 felt like it was moving. Season 2 feels like someone jammed a stick in its spokes.

The cast seem more comfortable now and the stakes ever higher in a smart, complicated adaptation that is taking worthwhile risks, while still holding on to what fans love about the books.

While there are some good performances and promising narrative threads, the season will need to get back on track quickly to live up to the potential it showed in season 1.
