This is a tough one. There is good in this series. Out of the four episodes available at the time I'm writing this 2 are good, 1 is ok and 1 is terrible. So I guess its a C+? I gave it a 7 because its not a bad show. However, Jordan Pelle's shallow diversity really makes the show seem cheesy to those that agree with him and "woke" to those that don't.

Otherwise I felt that the first two episodes where really good. It was "rewind' that prevented this from being a good show. The shallow diversity held this back, because it was predictable and borderline offensive.

I saw "The Comedian" starring Kumail Nanjiani and "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet" with Adam Scott.

"Nightmare at 30,000 Feet" is the 3rd version of this story I've seen myself. The original had William Shatner, the first remake for 'Twilight Zone the Movie' had John Lithgow, and this version had Adam Scott. He was great, but the story itself was a little disjointed; it's hard to tell what the base 'reality' of the world is, which makes it hard to distinguish the horror in it. It was well-acted, though, and the folks in it look like they're having fun.

    I'm hooked on the show!

Watching "The Comedian" felt like a very down-to-earth story which showed viewers a small glimpse into life as a comedian. It was a good story which I though really captured what the twilight zone has always been. "Nightmare" on the other hand was even better. Overall I'm really looking forward to Peele's TZ. Expand

The series is just great! After watching Jordan Peele's Get Out and Us, I watch this new series. It is said that the series is more than wonderful. And I am really impressed at it!

Jordan Peele's modern, refreshing take on The Twilight Zone is fantastic. Some of the episodes feel a little too long, granted, but that's the one true flaw in an otherwise very compelling show.

This twilight zone is masterfully done, and is really the only thing that is keeping me into holding on to the CBS app. The only reason this is getting so many negatives, is either this series is too high brow for today's millennial age who need things spelled out to them, too political in exposing many of America's flaws social flaws (which by the way, the 1960's version also did, in aThis twilight zone is masterfully done, and is really the only thing that is keeping me into holding on to the CBS app. The only reason this is getting so many negatives, is either this series is too high brow for today's millennial age who need things spelled out to them, too political in exposing many of America's flaws social flaws (which by the way, the 1960's version also did, in a number of its episodes, outside of just exploring the supernatural), or they exclusively don't like Jordan Peele capturing the essence of what made Rod Sterling great in his delivery and presentation. Granted, I don't think anyone can beat ROD STERLING's original writing, but CBS and others really make a push behind this new fresh series, it could really hammer home a lot of classic stories that the 1980's twilight zone series and the early 2000 twilight zone series failed to capture. May I also add that all episodes are shot wonderfully in a film noir style. Expand

I grew up watching reruns of the original. Suffered through the disappointment of the movie and the various iterations since. I revere Rod Serling's imagination and all the heart he put into all of his writings - especially, TZ. This version is not your Dad's or Granddad's version of the Twilight Zone. It is a modern version of the Twilight Zone with modern sensibilities. MostI grew up watching reruns of the original. This version is not your Dad's or Granddad's version of the Twilight Zone. It is a modern version of the Twilight Zone with modern sensibilities. Most importantly it is a modern conversation and exploration of modern social themes - just like what Rod was doing in the way back. The acting is impeccable, the look gorgeous. They are still getting their sea legs trying to find how to wrap things up without being preachy. But even Rod was preachy at times. I am grateful for this version. I hope it continues in quality for many seasons. Expand

Every episode – which run for between 35 and 55 minutes – feels too long. ... Instead of the original series’ bleakly measured contemplation of mankind’s capacity for cruelty and evil, the reboot falls into either preachiness or schmaltz.

Compared to Black Mirror’s spiky nihilism, The Twilight Zone feels tame.
