Sep 2, 2022Passable and over used CGI. The characters are not recognizable from books I love so dearly. Bad writing and cringy dialog. Costume that stand out and looks cheap. This isn't Tolkien. It more like a generic fantasy then Tolkien high fantasy. There is so much lore breaking. If your a Tolkien fan. This isn't worth your time and you just end up angry
-
Sep 2, 2022A série deveria ter sido lançada para o YouTube, eles nem deveriam ter gastado nada com Cgi ou atores, seria bem melhor se algum canal de sátiras tivesse feito a série, o nível é muito baixo, é decepcionante.
-
Sep 2, 2022Hot garbage meets the CW. the show starts slow and stays that way, the characters are terrible, Galadriel is the most Mary Sue/ Karen that has been written, she is meme-worthy how shallow and stupid her story is. The show is just one bad story after another- I'm giving it a 2 for effects.... but this is not Tolkien in any way shape or form= terrible.
-
Sep 2, 2022cgi isn't all. but you have all the tokens required. stay tuned for more. btw - ep2 is worse than ep1. but it doesn't change anything.
-
Sep 2, 2022Fan fic level of writing, bad acting, short hair elves without any trace of their grace and ethereal, otherworldly aura. Complete mess to be honest. Had a hard time to sit through the whole first episode.
Sad days for us Tolkien fans. -

Sep 2, 2022Perfect, Tolkien would be proud! This is the best adaptation of the century. What a great show!
-
Sep 2, 2022My girflriend and I were waiting for this show for so long, but after watching were in such bad mood, that we had a fight, my girlfriend left me, because of this trash. Really, politics? Jesus christ, so bad it destroyed Tolkiens work and my future ex wife.
-
Sep 2, 2022This show is complete woke garbage. It was made only to indoctrinate people into this communist system that media and entertainment wants to transform this country into
-
Sep 2, 2022it's badly acted, the dialogues are bland as **** the casting is bad, the music is bad, I still don't know what the plot is about, everything is all over the place, everything feels very restricted.
-
Sep 2, 2022Amazing! La serie está a un nivel cinematográfico muy alto. Con ganas de una nueva temporada.
-
Sep 2, 2022This surly isn’t a 0 or even a 1, it’s got some effort put into the cinematography, costumes and set design. Definitely no where near a 10, your just kidding yourself if you think this is perfect. It’s a boring, overly political mess. This feels like fanfiction, or another fantasy setting wearing the clothes of lord of the rings.

Sep 2, 2022After 2 episodes. I loved visual aspect of the series, there was not much time to give us whole story so Im waiting for more to come

-
Sep 2, 2022Lamentable que se llegué a esto de tomar un producto de calidad y destrozar la idea original del autor.
-
Sep 2, 2022Completely disrespectful to Tolkien's legacy. Full of woke and political propaganda that Peter Jackson would never have inputted into the show. Written and presented without any creative integrity. If you have any respect for the lore of Tolkien's work, don't even watch this.
-
Sep 2, 2022I feel like this is a shameless attempt to tick diversity boxes. Sure the CGI looks good but not sure it’s worth the money they must have shelled out. Any thing with dwarves in looks good but that’s about it… honestly struggling to find positives. Just watch house of the dragon or the last kingdom instead.
-
Sep 2, 2022This show is an embarrassment and and insult to Tolkien and the world he created, the writing is terrible, the CGI is awful and the music does not fit. I hope they cancel this series
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022Not a fan of producers and studios who disrespect the lore, the legacy with forced woke ideology and who disregard the source material. Its very pretty ill give it that
-
Sep 2, 2022Morfydd is perfect. Beautiful show, grand in scope and intriguing. Season 1 focusing on world building but also the characters are very compelling.
-

-
Sep 2, 2022I really had my hopes up, but the characters and story are so empty. Very disappointed as I really believed this was going to be decent. I can't believe the critics are generally in favour of the show. I mean it looks impressive, but everything is artificial.
-
Sep 2, 2022The series is entertaining, the look is a little too slick for my taste. (-2P)
The story seems OK, deviating from the lore here and there, but that was to be expected. (-1P)
I find the whole negative vibe a pity. It feels like people are going in with an expectation that is Utopian, remember the Hobbit is in itself very weak filmed. -
Sep 2, 2022It's anything but the Lord of the Rings
Amazon could have easily created HER OWN fantasy saga for such money, but no..... -
Sep 2, 2022Realmente um marco na produção televisional de Tolkien! VIsuais, atuações e roteiro estão muito bem desenvolvidos. Animado para acompanhar a adaptação nos próximos episódios do seriado.

Sep 2, 2022I watch first episode, beatiful effects and music but that is all. This is lore killer series with political correctness. Complete Blend - A new generic fantasy series without love. Episode is boring. Costiumes are bad. Actors are bad. Characters are bad - especially Galadriel. There is no climate of lord of the rings. Maybe i'm to hard, but it becouse i love J. R. R. Tolkien books.

Sep 2, 2022Love it.
The show is amazing and has a good start. Is it a 10? No. Is it a 0? Hahaha. -
Sep 2, 2022Poor character development, specifically the main protagonist, Galadriel, who is really terrible. Feels like I lost hours of my life which will never come back watching this. I give one point due to the special effects. Even the soundtrack is generic.
-
Sep 2, 2022Slow pacing. Cringe dialogues, no respect for the lore, bad use of cgi , bad acting
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022loved it. its not like LOTR and Hobbit, but definitely interesting. don't understand all the negative reviews.
definitely recommend it and cant wait for next episodes. -

-
Sep 2, 2022I would rather re-watch game of thrones season eight. It is a challenge to find positives - the special effects were nice.
-
Sep 2, 2022This is a great work of art. Visuals and production are perfect, great character introductions, the pacing is low but this is good for true fans. Two amazing episodes and hope the rest will be even better.
-
Sep 2, 2022Generic, regular, vulgar fantasy. Not worth watching. Don't waste your time.
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022I just finished first episode and I'm bored to the death.
dialogs 1/10
script 1/10
fun 0/10
cgi 2/10
music(Howard Shore) 4/10
spirit of tolkien 0/10
elements of nature 0/10
Hope this would be 'breaking point' to producing holywood **** like this. -
Sep 2, 2022don't know what to say, really bad story writing.
doesn't feel like a story from tolkin's world but more like Hollywood -
Sep 2, 2022Terrible writing, story, and pacing. Show obviously tried to disguise these with pretty visuals, but the flaws are glaringly obvious. Not the worst thing I've ever seen, but pretty awful nonetheless.
-
Sep 2, 2022Complete garbage. Not true to Tolkien at all. No respect at all for the established lore. I doubt anyone that had their hands in creating this travesty of a show ever read any of the man's work.
-
Sep 2, 2022There is no curse in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men for this treachery.
-
Sep 2, 2022There's a campaign to review bomb this unfortunately by online trolls. But I've actually watched it and it's really great. Compelling, beautiful, thought provoking, scary, funny, and true to Middle Earth.
-
Sep 2, 2022At the very least, this is reverant of the Tolkein's source material and loyal to the aesthetic values defined by Peter Jackson's work. As for characters and plot, give them a **** chance...
-
Sep 2, 2022If this was called a generic medieval fantasy, it would be just a mediocre, not very talented, boring, poorly written and acted show. It would deserve a 4-5
But it bears the name of The Lord of the Rings. There is nothing here that reminds me of Tolkien, except for the names. The looks are wrong, the few "real" characters are wrong, and the story is a complete invention.
Nothing to see here. -
Sep 2, 2022What they did to Galadriel was disturbing. Acting was very very poor. Cast choices for characters were inaccurate. I watched only the first episode and I won't watch the second.
-
Sep 2, 2022Terrible writing. Terrible cast. Fan fiction-tier plot. Terrible direction. This was worst than I ever anticipated.
-
Sep 2, 2022the worst of the worst, Ive legit never seen anything that is so bad. It blows my mind how you can invest so much into a show and it come out like pure ...
-
Sep 2, 2022For two episodes, for more than an hour each, there is not even a hint of a normal plot. That's why they released two series. After the first one, they would not have been able to keep the viewer. In the second, they probably hoped for gnomes. It's a shame just.
-
Sep 2, 2022It's just made up **** so what does 'true to the source' even mean. Enjoy the ride. It's a good show.
-
Sep 2, 2022Except for visuals and music, this series an epic fail. Galadrial worst character - nothing more to say. If your main character is broken, your show is broken.

Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022Visually impressive and reminds stylistically more hobbit trilogy(super clean world) than lotr(more grounded), right now story seems simple - evil is still lurking etc. Pacing really fast jumps around constantly. Looks promising tho. Liked more than houseOfBoring.
-
Sep 2, 2022This ruin Tolkiens legacy… Its not true Tolkien adaptation. Just a big budget random fantasy sh*t… :( If you need the true Tolkien lore: read the books! Far better.
-
Sep 2, 2022Bad Show, Bad Witring, Bad actors, a esse of time, a disperespect of original souce.
-
Sep 2, 2022Lacklustre and miscast stars, few stand out, makes you want for an Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen or Elijah Wood. None of the actors sell the performance and its hard to get immersed with the dull characters and poor performances. Overuse of CGI reminiscent more of a video game than the practical effects of the original trilogy that used CGI sparingly but to good effect.
-
Sep 2, 2022It was disappointing. Great visuals, but has nothing to do with Tolkien or Middle-Earth beside some name droppings. It could be a nice generic fantasy show, but it did not deliver the Tolkien vibes it had promised.

Sep 2, 2022too many fake reviews jeez.... ima stick to IMDB from now on. Metacritic isnt what it used to be. Great show tho amazing look
-
Sep 2, 2022Don't waste your time on this show. It's like creating music with the best sound quality ever, but the melody is just awful.
-
Sep 2, 2022Shame this is fan fiction. The locations look good, unfortunately they have ruined the story.
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022Great looking show, love the vibe, the growing threat. Seems that a lot of people are going to hate on it. It is what it is.
-
Sep 2, 2022Really good show, good actors and the story is convincing and interesting. Shame people watch hateful youtube videos and review bomb the show for no reason, the world we live in...
-
Sep 2, 2022Absolutely incredible production so far, first episode was good but the second was pure LOTR joy, can't wait to see where it goes
-
Sep 2, 2022I loved it. It is visually stunning, and has great characters, and the potential to be an all time classic. Tolkien fanboys can go hide in their mummy's basement and write snarky posts about black elves and "lore'... the rest of us will enjoy a brilliant show.
-
Sep 2, 2022Do i really need to explain myself? Just gonna say that this isnt a tolkien story, or in his style, or anything even close to that. Just a randon series with people trying to make it popular using his name. Its looks more like a hate towards tolkien's work and stories.
-
Sep 2, 2022A bastardisation of Tolkien's work, laced with dire mis characterization and horrendous acting. Good visuals, but that's about it. A trainwreck for the ages.
-
Sep 2, 2022I've never been a fan of Tolkien's universe, but after two episodes I'm downright enchanted by its beauty. Amazon has created a new class of quality in creating the series. I thought that the visuals couldn't beat Game of Thrones, but this series proves me wrong
-
Sep 2, 2022Hilarious disrespect of Tolkien fans, one billion to spit on them, I hope it was worth the propaganda
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022If they are going to make up stories and characters, why are they relating this show to Tolkien instead of creating a new franchise?
-
Sep 2, 2022Honestly i didnt want to believe the haters, but this show is really bad. so boring and full of political messaging. just another woke show. to bad it could of been great. but its a Zero.

Sep 2, 2022The days of review bombing is so cringy.
I myself went to a pre screening event on the 31st and it was magnificent, I do have my nitpicks, but I went in with an open mind, deactivated Facebook for a while and just watched, and there isn't a series out there quite like this one. If you are on the fence, and aren't toxic sheep haters. Give it a go. -
Sep 2, 2022I'm very disappointed with this show. It doesn't look like Tolkien at all. Bad acting, bad casting and bad CGI.
-
Sep 2, 2022This is NOT a Lord of the Rings, this is NOT a Tolkien - this is NOT of anything good at all. **** for idiots. Read books people XD
-
Sep 2, 2022The most disappointing adaptation I have ever seen. It seems as if the show runners intentionally undermined Tolkien's work just to force their identity politics down the viewers throat. I just wish we could enjoy entertainment media without all this nonsense, especially when your job is to adapt an all time great writers work. Shame on you Amazon.

Sep 2, 2022I am pleasantly suprised!!! The first episodes are superb, good castig, epic battles, an a lush world! As a child i would have killed for a tv show like this which featured my fafourite books! But sure there are flaws, i hope that they will iron it out during the first season! But so far it doesnt deserve the hat it gets on the web!

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.
-
With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.
-
The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
