Sep 2, 2022Unlikeable characters and a confusing and disjointed plot that unfolds at sluggish pace. Nice visuals cannot makeup for a lack of vison.
-
Sep 2, 2022**** leftist **** it doesn't deserves to be a a full-fledged film adaptation, it literally shames the franchise
-
-
Sep 2, 2022Amazon can't lie to true fans, this is a defilement of Tolkien's work and an insult to intelligence. A show full of intersectionality topics and totally unaware of the world they try to portray, the show runners want to put their own ideas and corrupted morals on the work of a man who devoted his life to it. A shame and a lost opportunity.
-
Sep 2, 2022This series is an absolute disgrace and literally the worst thing happened to cinema since Marvel Phase 4. Tolkien would've shot himself with a shotgun if he could see this abomination
-
Sep 2, 2022An absolute mockery of Tolkien, Peter Jackson, fanbase, and sanity. Won't touch this turd again.

Sep 2, 2022Not Tolkien, not Lord of the Rings, should have used an own name and it would have been ok as a random fantasy story.
-
Sep 2, 2022Série horrível, uma fanfic woke que estraga a obra de Tolkien horrivelmente.
-
Sep 2, 2022Opening:Ainulindalë only this.Ainulindalë in the opening was the only good thing of these 2 episodes, old Celebrimbor and galadriel annoying and extremely annoying, the elves are not faithful and the story does not hold at all they were horrible the showrunners managed to destroy galadriel

Sep 2, 2022es una porqueria !!!! pero en que mierda estaban pensando!!!!!!!!!!!???????????
-
Sep 2, 2022Сериал намного лучше чем Дом Дракона (еле досмотрел заунылую одну серию). Конечно это не тот Властелин колец, это что-то новое. Рекомендую

Sep 2, 2022Why bother adhering to the lore already established by one of the 20th centuries greatest literary craftsman in favor of peddling woke bullsh!t. I’m sure everyone will love it as much as me.

-
Sep 2, 2022Vulgar and aggressive compared to the original movies, wich were poetic, calm and comfy. The Rings of Power almost looks like a Witcher series, in a bad bad way.
-
Sep 2, 2022Disgusting agenda driven garbage and butchery of the professor Tolkiens work. I will never buy another product from Amazon let alone prime after this

Sep 2, 2022Pelo madrugada que porcaria é essa, o CGI é muito bom e as fantasias também mas o resto é uma imundice.
-
Sep 2, 2022very impressive and the story is interesting. I'm excited for the full development of this season
-
Sep 2, 2022Terrible, Tolkien turned 360 degrees in the coffin, absolutely ignoring the original source and common sense. After the first episode, there was a great wish to delete the Amazon subscription.
-
Sep 2, 2022Great visuals, but no characters grabbed me. The writing was pure formula and the acting was wooden.

Sep 2, 2022This series is a masterpiece, sets, photographs, performances, cast... The show has an incredible sensibility... Galadriel perfect as always. Looking forward to many seasons. I love it!
-
Sep 2, 20221 for the visuals, this show will piss many long year fans off, it has no soul but it has dumb dialogues, its not true to Tolkiens lore and mashes everything up to a generic fantasy blockbuster. They should have spent less money on visuals and marketing and more on the plot.
-
Sep 2, 2022The atmosphere of Middle earth is so unique, so refreshing, so nostalgic, so beautiful... It is hard to explain but the series is everything it should have been and more! 11/10! Goodness gracious Tolkien! Thank you a million times Amazon Prime!
-
Sep 2, 2022It was an Excellent start. Looking forward for more and more. I wish we had more seen of valinor and finrod. Most likable character is Elrond, nori, disa and durin
-
Sep 2, 2022My eyes, why i watch this, after Jackson films this is really terrible. Beautiful graphic nothing more.
-
Sep 2, 2022The only way this travesty of a show could get better, would be if Sauron forges the One Ring to banish Multiculturalism and Cultural Marxism from Middle Earth.
-
Sep 2, 2022Beautiful and compelling. Dialogue a little corny by moment but the big scale of the story is very well rendered. The locations and the sets are magnificent and perfectly filmed.

-
Sep 2, 2022Ofensa a obra de Tolkien e mal feito. Galadriel horrivel, , lacraão pura e panfletagem política
-
Sep 2, 2022Absolutely garbage. Tolkien rolls in his grave at the shameless appropriation and defilement of his life's work. Not only that, but it is, at its best, boring.
-

-
Sep 2, 2022Cringeworthy. I had low expectations but this is just woke trash that spits in Tolkien's face. I'm sure it'll make Bezos lots of money though.

Sep 2, 2022No identity. No likeable characters. Terrible dialogue. Plastic looking costumes. Look away tolkien fans! Your beloved characters are unrecognizable. Dissapointing... add it to the pile of murdered franchises.
-
Sep 2, 2022From the first minutes of the film, I realized that this is a feminist feces.
-

-
Sep 2, 2022This is exceptionally poor storytelling. One of many examples: Elrond and Durin enter a super high-stakes competition which will end in Elrond's banishment if he were to lose. Elrond loses, and literally 30 seconds later, the high stakes are gone, as Elrond gets what he wanted - a conversation with Durin.

Sep 2, 2022This is not even a bit like the lord of the rings. Next typical weak fantasy movie. Waste of time watching this crap.

-
Sep 2, 2022It just deserves 0 everybody knows the reason no one asked for it, no one loves it, critics are just incompetent
-
Sep 2, 2022-has writing so poor as to make a CW show seem like a masterpiece
-has twice the budget of HOTD, yet looking 10 times worse than Witcher
-Galadriel, omg Galadriel. So stunning, so brave. She does everything better than anyone else in the show, no growth. She also does it with the most disgustingly snobbish attitude.
-Every man in the show is a weakling holding Galadriel back. -
Sep 2, 2022No spoilers. Just bad writing. Empty dialogue that pretends to be old English. But it falls short and ultimately ends up lacking in it's ability to establish characters.
-
Sep 2, 2022I think Amazon made this show so you’d get bored while watching it and go on your laptop to browse Amazon. Big brain move.
It’s not that bad, but it’s certainly not entertaining. Wouldn’t have watched it if it didn’t have LOTR branding on it. Super mid. -

-
Sep 2, 2022Bad quality fiction.
It is a total disaster of Tolkien legacy. Shame on Amazon! -
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022I gave it a 1 because there are some nice looking scenes. But even the beautiful artwork and decentish CGI doesn't make up for the fact that it has zero atmosphere. It isn't just that the actress playing Galadriel is terrible, and that they got the Elves totally wrong, but you can see they just were given nothing to work with but a banally safe & milquetoast plot. Such a wasted opportunity
-
Sep 2, 2022The series is wonderful, very beautiful, from the effects to the costumes, from the performances (which was a little average, I confess) to the characterization, this is all very good, pure Tolkien juice, the references? Wonderful!
I Love this is. -

Sep 2, 2022No even near to lore, u can do your own series with what ever u want without calling it LOTR and using original personages. Why the showrunners decided to spoil origin? Fans dont deserve such an attitude.
-
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022Paper-thin characters, generic dialogue. Thematically, feels nothing like Middle-earth. I would have given this at least a 4 if they hadn't piggybacked on Tolkein's IP to scape more viewers. It would have been a solid (albeit forgettable) fantasy on its own. Shame.

Sep 2, 2022The best Tolkien adaption to date. Get lost in the wonder of the second age of Middle-Earth.
-
Sep 2, 2022Very cool start, great storylines, amazing visuals, great music. While it looks promising, I would like the events to speed up and not drag out the dialogues. So far, the show has surprised me a lot, wow!
-
Sep 2, 2022Just bad. No respect for the lore, a disrespect for the original source. Bad acting and directing.
-
Sep 2, 2022Unbelievably poor content and a disgrace for Amazon, nothing is Tolkien's.
It is more of the same terrible bad reboot style garbage and intersectionality that is ruining entertainment.
The action sucks, the dialogue is laughable, the costumes are poorly conceived. -
Sep 2, 2022
-
Sep 2, 2022Cultural theft by a corporation. The actor sold their souls, and the fan can see straight through it. Absolute trash series that spits on Tolkien.
-
Sep 2, 2022Such a disgrace. Literally makes me want to cry of how poor the show is. Not to mention how they dared to mix with dirt Tolkien's beautiful universe
-
Sep 2, 2022“Evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin good forces have invented or made”
-
Sep 2, 2022It's clearly not a 1 out of 10 although comparing it to it's predecessor, (including the Hobbit series, which were not great) it did feel as though it was not to the same standard. Through out the episodes character make decisions that are against character and common sense on a consistent babis
-
Sep 2, 2022If it weren't a Tolkien adaption it would be a 5/10 since visuals and music are excellent but it lacks of everything else.
Since its a Tolkien adaption it is just totally wrong. -

-
Sep 2, 2022Look, for lay people who haven't even watched the old movies, they may like it but those who read the books will see that it has nothing to do with each other, they're just using the name and characters, big tech like Amazon has no interest in respect any work, they have already chosen the second era for that. Ps:A hug to the cast and backstage who were arrogant with the fans
-
Sep 2, 2022Yikes. No character development, incredibly weak dialogue, poor writing, marginal acting. This is the best they could do for a billion dollar lord of the rings show? Pretty visuals, but that's about it.
-
Sep 2, 2022Everything looks amazing, but it's kind of hard to feel drawn by this, especially when you have a more engaging story in 'House of the Dragon.' There are more interesting characters than others, and the pacing is not that good, but the potential is there. Let's see what the rest of the season has in store.

Sep 2, 2022Just like everyone thought, nothing new. It's a complete shallow and a complete disregard of the Tolkien's Legendarium.
-
Sep 2, 20221 billion dollars spent to take a collective dump on one of the greatest fantasy series written to date. Lousy casting, pathetic costumes, nonsensical writing with a hefty dose of woke BS to wash it all down.
Tolkien must be writhing in his grave. -
Sep 2, 2022Fantastic, great story and cinematography! Knocked it out the park.
-
Sep 2, 2022It’s like watching a procedurally generated fantasy show or staring into the uncanny valley. Everything feels “off” and unnatural. Tonally it’s all over the map. Poor pacing. Mediocre writing and acting. Some very nice visuals but it’s all for nothing. You get the feeling you could round up a few Tolkien fans on reddit and make a better show than this with a tenth of the budget.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.
-
With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.
-
The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
