Oh get over yourselves already you negative Nellies!!! THANK YOU UNIVERSE for something slightly goofy! I'm sick of doom and gloom, or overly serious takes on how everything is going to the dogs. Just sit back and laugh. Breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy the flat out fun! FUN! Remember that??

The only complaint i have about this show is that the special effects are not always perfect, but the rest of this show easily makes up for that. Its got a unique premise, a great set of characters, and is overall one of the best shows of the year.

The Librarians sticks so close to its original formula, with the addition of Noah Wyle (AKA the librarian), it maintains the vaguely cheesy charm that the original films had and is a must watch for mythology buffs. It remains an all time favorite of mine and now holds a special place in my heart with the first movie which was released in 2007. PS Warehouse 13 came out 2009.

Seems like a TNT version of SyFy's warehouse 13. good concept and it looks like the show has a good direction, especially considering how good falling skies turned out becoming. good potential, humor but i think they revealed the antagonist a little too soon.

Do you like light-hearted adventure? Magic and artifacts? Then you'll enjoy The Librarians. It's exactly what it seems: A ragtag group of heroes solving the mystery of the week. There's a hint of a build-up towards the season finale, but it's not so plot intensive that newcomers will feel left out.

Really recommend, and extra points for being actually fun.

I love that this show is whimsical, adventurous, and fun. I'm happy to have found a show that isn't drenched in sex, drama or gore. I really want TNT to make more of the Librarian series and definitely more movies with Noah Wylie.

I think "The Librarians" needs more time and more episodes to see where it is going. Often clever. Sometimes just goofy. The show's intent is clearly to be an action/comedy. Noah Wylie is looking a bit old. Rebecca Romjin seems to be preserved at some younger age. Any show that includes Jane Curtin and Bob Newhart (YES, Bob Newhart) definitely has something going for it. I loved the first two episodes! They hit the ground running and there's so much fun in each scene that they use every minute to the max! Even the cool opening theme is only a few seconds instead of the normal 60 to 90 second opening, which to me proves they pack a lot in each episode. I'm stoked to see all of the episodes! While being an action adventure comedy weekly series, each week is said to (also) have it's own genre mixed in. Including horror, fairy tales and time travel. How cool is that!? I am really looking forward to the rest of the season! Expand

This type of show is easy, undemanding entertainment that doesn't push any boundaries or win important awards. Its the show with a familiar cast of characters with endearingly odd habits to distinguish them because although the faces may change they can be almost interchangeable with characters from similar shows: The muscle, the brains, the nerd and the troublemaker are standard archetypes.
There are some exceptions, shows that transcend their packaging and become more: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best example, but such shows are rare.
Its great that shows like this are still made, as TV trends increasingly toward adult, edgy and violent fare.
Verdict: Harmless fun for the family. It will be renewed.

Each character gets a little bit of development every episode so there's no sense of stagnation, but it also doesn't have the pressing *need* to prove how "deep" and "adult" it is every few minutes. Librarians moves forward without rushing or pushing things so changes and little things revealed about the characters feel natural, leaving you pleased to have found out more but not tormenting by only knowing part of the story. And when the hint of a larger story is dropped without recieving quick expansion it leaves you intrigued instead of irritated and impatient. It's clear the writers of Librarians want you to come back every week because you enjoy their program, not because you need to know the answer to the latest reveal or outcome of the most recent cliff-hanger, and in my case at least they certainly succeed. Similarly, the monsters and magic aren’t made to look “real”, just clear enough that you know what it’s meant to be and the presentation doesn’t jar any possible sense of immersion. Even the fight scenes, which I am usually a tremendous snob about (the more realistic and complicated, the better), manage to be simple and fun enough that you can enjoy watching them without being so complex that you have to rewind whatever player you're using and rewatch it several times just to be sure you got everything that happened.

Librarians is a show that aims to make its audience enjoy themselves instead of trying to get them so enraptured they can't stand to miss an episode, and it succeeds admirably, providing a spot of light and laughter amid the sea of grit and drama that is modern television. If you want a show that makes you smile and laugh at its absurdity and antics without losing track of story or character roots, Librarians should be at the top of your list

It has flying swords, mythical creatures, and what can only be described as badass math scenes. What's not to like? The show is a perfect follow-up to the movies, with the same combination of action and humor, and while Flynn's occasional appearances add to the that, the other characters are capable of standing on their own.

What's with all the positive reviews? I thought it was laughably bad. Like Nicolas Cage in National Treasure 2 bad. Was it supposed to be funny? Yes it’s goofy and a parody of Warehouse 13, but it is a great light-hearted adventure series which is suitable for all ages. The jury is still out whether Noah Wyle can pull off the eccentric genius façade as I would have preferred a Willy Wonka/Emmett "Doc" Brown esque persona for this role. Overall, it’s fun, innocent and family-friendly and is worthy of a watch.

WORST TV series EVER!!! I mean there is NOTHING to write about it... after watching it EVERYTHING seems better... some time ago I seen few episodes from different seasons of Warehouse 13 and I hated it. Then I was thinking, could anyone made anything worst than that... and THEY DID. The Librarians (2014) is absolutely the worst TV series I've seen.

This tv show will please the younger audience, so if you are 13+ years old, I suggest watching something else. Anyway you can make a series for children without falling into the ridiculousness, but The Librarians doesn't even try to struggle in trying to achieve that, because it is, obviously, a product of seasonal consumption that won't reach much further than the post-holiday budget crunch.

Sadly, 'The Librarians' doesn't get the setup right. In WH13, the main cast was immediately enjoyable, the atmosphere and chemistry worked, the first episode was good fun.
Here, we have a bunch of people and I haven't managed to care about them very much, even after watching 3 episodes.
There is no spark, no verve, and that is necessary for me after watching 5 seasons of 'Warehouse 13'.

Maybe that show wasn't cancelled because it was out of ideas, but also because the whole 'magical artifact' concept got tired. Maybe that's why I got bored during the first 2 episodes of 'The Librarians'.
At least, that's how I feel about it.

And it's not only 'The Librarians'. Doesn't 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' do the same thing?
Getting their hands on artifacts mit supernatural powers? How many of those shows do we need?
I dropped that show after 2 episodes, too.

If you haven't seen any other 'artifact'-series, look into it. Otherwise: Don't waste your time.
