Not that good, could have been better if they attached 100% to games screenplay.
Forgot the **** nazis vs woke idiots, they are doing the same. This show its about 6 alone, but as The Last of Us adaptation is a 2, gonna give 0 to low the average puntuation.

the cordyceps and those **** spaghettis in mouth (like WTF) and hive mindset makes the concept to be like any other zombi movie/show instead the natural infection of the game that occurs in real life.

The character of Tess has nothing to do with the game one, she was badass, as dangerous as Joel (nearly killed Ellie when she knew she was infected), almost the gangster queen of the quarentine zone. In the show is so soft, bad survivor and absolute idiot in that final scene that its a bad joke comparing to the one of the game.

Bill its also nerfed in the show. In the game he is so badass he had the controll of a entire town, but the town itself is dangerous full of traps, clickers and runners, even a bloater, (he even use some infected as defense against the hunters surrounding Lincoln). In the show its only a neighborhood and its as clean as a todays stores showcase, even after 20 years of apocalypse.
He is so incompetent as a survivor that he exposed himself in the middle of the road tho get a shot!
Game's Bill would have killed this **** tv Bill in one second. Also he didnt even meet Ellie, what a disappointment, they had a really interesting interaction.

And after 3 episodes Ellie is still a non like able girl, very badly portrayed by the actress and the changes on her behaviour makes her a worse character (even if they are subtle changes, all of them are for worse and are killing the characters evolution that is so well done in the game). It hurts but after the expectations, Bella Ramsey its one of the worst casting choices ever made, period.

Disrespectful to the source material, not similar enough, can please to new fans but its not going to be liked by the game fans, looks like a cheap version of the story we all love.

The show is best when it actually moves away from the game's writing. Love the attention to detail in almost every scene, the call backs and easter eggs. Funny, producers have figured out that a zombie show works best [and cheaper] with less zombies and better acting, kinda like Walkin Deader, but you know, with better acting and writing.

I have certainly binged on my share of apocalyptic series during this new golden age of streaming television. We have been flooded with shows in the last decade, ranging from viruses to natural disasters to aliens. The worldI have certainly binged on my share of apocalyptic series during this new golden age of streaming television. We have been flooded with shows in the last decade, ranging from viruses to natural disasters to aliens. However, the premise of Last of Us is compelling and terrifying, the humble fungus gaining a foothold due to the climate change we are witnessing before our eyes. The world depicted is appropriately bleak and desolate, with the lurking infected just out of peripheral vision. The set pieces are excellent, eerie and evocative - rivalling the depressing vistas of The Road. As usual, we see that human evil continues to thrive in the last strongholds of humankind, a classic disappointment. We cannot resist turning to tyranny at the first possible chance, with the silent majority of the remnant minority allowing evil to rise. This is also the age of Pedro Pascal, the everyman thespian who slides effortlessly into every single role he plays. What a tour de force - he depicts a broken warrior with smoothness and credibility. A man seeking redemption in the face of a lifetime of sin. Bella Ramsey is brilliant, insightful, stinging and delightful. I expect huge things from this fantastic actor - she will continue to bowl us over for decades. She shows tremendous bravery and courage in every scene, a fitting role. There is no doubt every single episode of this masterpiece is well crafted and thought out, and delivers maximum emotional impact. There are no fake emotions here, each well-cast actor plays their role with genuineness and frankness. The extremely difficult choices of the final episode leave a ringing sound in my mind. We are truly defined by what happened in the past, and sometimes some are unhealed by time, and others are healed by other things. Expand

The Last of Us has vaulted into the best show on TV - better than Succession, Yellowstone (RIP), White Lotus, and Severance. I beat both TLOU games three times and I think they are the pinnacle of all of gaming. I am so glad they also will be the pinnacle of the Golden Age of TV. Well done everyone involved!

The show makes many unnecessary changes from the game. Clearly it is agenda driven and woke in many respects. Also what bothers me is that they didn't have 2 major showdowns with the clickers that were in the game, (likely to save on production costs), instead you get 2 filler episodes that don't really advance the plot at all...

There's a painstaking amount of attention to its source material, and parts that develop upon or steer away are done masterfully.

The Last Of Us is all about relationships, heart, survival, and it's quiet and sombre moments hit as much if not harder than its grander moments.

The cast is perfect! The chemistry between Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey is palpable, moving and endearing, with the two leads giving career-best performances. Storm Reid, Nick Offerman, Murray Bartlett, and the other numerous guest characters also deliver performances that hold more impact than the solo episodes they star in.

The cinematography is striking and stunning, selling the post apocalyptic landscape. The score, direction, production design and special effects are nothing short of brilliant.

The Last of Us is a show about relationships, healing and resilience. The zombie part is wonderfully done and they are super scary. EP1/2 really shows that. The show is able to wonderfully *SHOW* us the world of Last of Us by telling emotional and strong stories at the same time. The performances, set design and cinematography are top-class!

The Last of Us stays close to the source material, while diving deeper into characters and relationships. The show focuses more on the danger of human corruption than hordes of infected that you fight off in the game. The cinematography, acting, music, directing, and screenplay are all excellent and seeing a video game adaptation have this much quality is refreshing since other video game adaptations have been rather bad until now. Where the show falters is the pacing from episode to episode and the overall writing for the season. It starts out strong but eventually things start to feel rushed and ultimately leaves you unsatisfied with how quickly everything gets wrapped up. Also, I don’t mind a zombie, or for the show's sake a “infected” tv show to not have infected as the main focus, but I feel that they went too far with this idea, and it made infected feel nonexistent, and the world feel empty and safe. I tried being as unbiased as possible to the show since I have played the game, but I can’t hide the fact that I was very disappointed the longer the show went on. I loved the beginning and I thought we were about to have one of the best shows ever, oh how I was wrong. I don’t mind changes to the story to better adapt to tv, that’s understandable, but this show easily could have been 11-13 episodes long and it would have been perfect. The farther along we got the more was cut from the story and the more infected fights were left out. In the game the final mission was emotional and tense where the final episode for the show felt dry and quick. I couldn’t believe how fast they rushed everything and even cut things out that was in the game at the end. This ruined the experience for me especially since they started out so well. Why wouldn’t you just stay as close as possible to the original story, it doesn’t make sense. Now my average is an 8, but since I have played the game and saw the potential of what this could have been I have to give it a 7. That rushed last episode really bothers me and it’s more disappointing than anything especially since the first episode hit me hard emotionally just as the beginning of the game did, so that made me excited to watch this great story be portrayed on tv and for me to watch that amazing ending unfold but unfortunately the show couldn’t deliver in the end. In my opinion this is still the best video game adaptation and I still like a lot that this show has to offer, and I am excited for the next season.

By leaning just enough on the source material but not so much as to lose sight of the mission, which is to deliver a gut-wrenchingly emotional and poignant story, The Last of Us is not just the perfect adaptation; it’s an adaptation that has the potential to transcend even the original game.
