    We will have to wait till amazons fallout to see if theres another arcane, but arcane is still lonely as the only good videogame based movie or show.

    Set 20 years after the destruction of civilization the supposed Joel endure those years apparently not knowing how to fight or survive, after his only second, yesh the 2nd!!!! encounter with a bad guy, get mortaly injuried. Any similarity with the games Joel its coincidential. The Og himself killed over 70 explorers only in pittsburg bringing fear to the whole group of insurgents.     Boring unlike the game, very slow cuz they erase all action and good dialogue, Joel and Ellie still didnt know each other properly in 7 episodes, with only 2 left they are barely developed.

    They crazy, lost plenty of time in useless plots, 3, 7 and even most part of 4 and 5, they better had used that time developing the main characters and the world itself.

    Playing the game through multiple times and now watching it come to life on HBO I can definitively say this is the best Zombie/Survival Horror show or movie ever! Thank you HBO!

The third episode is heartbreaking but well written, I loved and hated it lol, mainly because it's just too sad.     HBO quality! Last of Us is a fantastic game and a fantastic tv show. Good cast and good story. Much better than Walking Dead and very close to video game roots.

    Its been a while since I have cried due to a tv show and this show keeps getting me there with its amazing acting. I haven't played the games but I thought I knew what to expect. I was was thoroughly surprised at how invested I got in characters after only one episode. I don't have a single complaint.     Loving the original game, and not being a fan of TV adaptations, I came to this show with low expectations, but boy was I wrong... The show does a great job of taking the most interesting action pieces of the game, and turning them around to fit the TV pacing.     True gamers knows the truth, they will not fall in this cheap version, the rest go and search on youtube TLOU PART 1 full movie and even walktrough if you want to experience a good story.

    Most of the good reviews are for the first episode of january, before they could know how bad they were going to manage the story, thats the only reason of this not being already at 5 or lower.

    Some friends of mine thought it was good after the first episodes, i told them to watch the entire game on youtube first, now they hate the show hahahahaha.

    Terrible.

    As a huge TLOU fan, they **** it in every aspect. Don't listen to the people who say it is faithful to the game -- a lot of them piss their pants, probably didnt play the game or their IQ is stone level and didnt get the greatness of the writting when they played then. It deserves a lower score.

    Ignore the MASSIVE amount of homophobic small brained mouth breathers review bombing due to their insecurities. This episode was amazing. Acting was fantastic and really gave Joel and Ellie a great moral starting point with Bills last letter.

    Girl bosses, gay filler episodes, Joel isn't a man, and Ellie is obnoxious. Occasionally there are some fungus monsters. Play the game instead because the TV show is a joke.

    Everything a smart videogame's fan wanted to see, his/her favorite game becoming a really good TV or cinema adaptation. This series goes beyond the game, deeper and deeper into the Story and into spectator's emotions. Superb cast doing a wonderfull work with characters that deserves no less.

    Vaya mojon de serie, increible como han descuartizado la historia con cambios estupidos sin sentido y quitando aspectos clave de la historia, obviando los mejores niveles del juego asi como cambiando los personajes y su naturaleza. Joel con ataques de panico es un debil en los combates y en general y Ellie es una sadica ahora sin sentido.

    The Last of Us: Season 1 is the new benchmark for adaptations, bringing complicated characters and their respective arcs to life in such vivid and visceral ways while expanding on what makes them tick. It struggles to deliver a compelling story outside of its cast, however, underutilising its post-apocalyptic landscape and losing a lot of its context to be slimmed down for the medium. Pacing is inconsistent and, while individual episodes are rock solid, as a collective whole the show never picks up speed, leaving its undeniably emotional finale a little anticlimactic.

    Despite this, performances from Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay deliver crackling chemistry that goes a long way to smoothing out the cracks. Backed with superb creature design and a gorgeous soundtrack, The Last of Us: Season 1 is a TV event you do not want to miss.

    Don’t be put off by the mushroom monsters – this is a fully realised human parable, with TLOU evolving into a brutal, passionate, post-apocalyptic western par excellence.
