    The show makes many unnecessary changes from the game. Clearly it is agenda driven and woke in many respects. Also what bothers me is that they didn't have 2 major showdowns with the clickers that were in the game, (likely to save on production costs), instead you get 2 filler episodes that don't really advance the plot at all...

    Being a massive fan of the game I've been really looking forwards to this series being released for a long time. One concern I had about the release of this series was how they were going to re recreate the bond between Joel and Ellie which for me made the game probably the best ive ever played.     There isnt a single infected in this supossed infected world, why even bother to make a vacine if the infected are in extintion danger? Its a joke this is supossed to be based on the original game, looks like completlly diferent worlds

    The Last of Us has vaulted into the best show on TV - better than Succession, Yellowstone (RIP), White Lotus, and Severance. I beat both TLOU games three times and I think they are the pinnacle of all of gaming. I am so glad they also will be the pinnacle of the Golden Age of TV. Well done everyone involved!

    Not my cup of tea. I was moderately interesred, halfway episode 2, then I learn that ep 3 is some sort of homosexual romantic flick.
    I quitted then and there, as I do not emotionally rom coms nor homosexuality. Hence a round zero.

    Pedro is doing good for the version of Joel of the show, different from the game. But Ramsey should be banned from film industry, dont worry she dosnt care, she has no emotions, or her face is dead and cant expres it.

    Boring unlike the game, very slow cuz they erase all action and good dialogue, Joel and Ellie still didnt know each other properly in 7 episodes, with only 2 left they are barely developed.

    There are long boring charcter dialogues that doent captivate. There are no monsters or zombies - could be any show like walking dead, but the boring parts.
    * Update - this show is rediculously boring and dumb. A bad walking dead, which was also just a dumb drama.

    Girl bosses, gay filler episodes, Joel isn't a man, and Ellie is obnoxious. Occasionally there are some fungus monsters. Play the game instead because the TV show is a joke.

I've watched the first 3 episodes and already I'm disappointed. The acting is high-end, the FX are there, but it's an empty shell -- there's nothing fresh here.     As a huge TLOU fan, they **** it in every aspect. Don't listen to the people who say it is faithful to the game -- a lot of them piss their pants, probably didnt play the game or their IQ is stone level and didnt get the greatness of the writting when they played then. It deserves a lower score.

    A lot of violent moments were cut from the series, and a lot was done with the transition to blackout, which is a little strange in an adult story about the apocalypse, they also changed some plot points, but they are not critical, as a whole, the series is interesting to watch

Any similarity with the games Joel its coincidential. The Og himself killed over 70 explorers only in pittsburg bringing fear to the whole group of insurgents.     However, after seeing the Pilot episode, I'm overwhelmed.

    Vaya mojon de serie, increible como han descuartizado la historia con cambios estupidos sin sentido y quitando aspectos clave de la historia, obviando los mejores niveles del juego asi como cambiando los personajes y su naturaleza. It cuts 80% of the games scecenes and best dialogue, every change is for worse overall and only in the sixth episode are the only worth dialogue aditions. Ep 3 is not a expansion is a change of the story you d*mb. The whole series feels more like a alternative take of the story than an adaptation.

I was was thoroughly surprised at how invested I got in characters after only one episode. I don't have a single complaint.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i've been waiting a few episodes to see how i felt. after the 5th im in, fully committed. ellie took a little to win me over but i think that was just progression for the show. acting, sets, costumes, sound, the general ambiance of the world, the horror aspects, they are just nailing all the important elements of the first game while putting their own spins on smaller details. i really hate seeing the weird complaints but specifically about sarah seems strange. not even going to re type their reason but its not an issue the actress does every bits as good a job as the game portraying that emotional scene and all the added scenes with her were great. if you forced me to be petty i would say sarah is slightly too old compared to the game, but joels older so sarah is too. henry and sam, damn that was harder to watch for some reason. the 2 actors were very good and the impact their characters left on ellie and joel is felt immediately as the episode closes. im hopeful now as someone who doesn't love part 2's story that they will be able to tell it in a way fans like myself will be able to connect to and receive better than the game. it may not live up to the game in the end but this is easily the best show i've seen since breaking bad or early season of game of thrones.… Expand

    6 its a good punctuation for this series comparing to other tv shows, but it doesnt live up to the video game, also the lack of infected in a lot of the portion of the show (of the first 5 ep, only in 2) makes the world of this adaptation to be a walk on the park compared to the video game, they could at least put them in the background or in stealth scenes.

The show runner decided Joel and Elle needing a car needed to be spun into an hour long meaningless love story that had nothing to do with the show. My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with the gay aspect either. I would feel the exact sameI was enjoying the show for the first 2 episodes but it went full woketard in the 3rd episode.     Really good show, great acting, writing, production and direction! I was almost burned out on zombie stuff but I went ahead and forced myself to watch this and WOW! First four episodes are fantastic. I know the second game was really controversial and I didn't play it so we'll see how season 2 goes but so far season 1 makes for excellent television. I love the actor who plays Ellie, she's so good!

There are so many other qualified legit actresses that would have been perfect for her role I cant help but wonder if there was nepotism involved in her casting. I cringe every time she tries to mimic Ellie, its not even close to working. As a gay guy, I appreciated the fact that they were highlighting a relationship that was present in the game, but the way it was done came off as a poorly-wrought soap opera something that Lucille Bluth could have written while on a bender, rather than something realistic to actual gay relationships or at all coming close to the characters portrayed in the game.

    Pedro Pascal is the only shining light in this series that gives it any kind of dramatic power and prestige. I would have liked two episodes with the gay couple and make it about them being with Ellie and Pedro while cracking jokes, engaging in witty humor, and killing zombies. Instead, we got this soap opera straight of of Days of Our Lives or The Bachelor with people ponderously gazing out windows and crying buckets of tears every few scenes. It was nice that they started out with the badass gun collection, handyman skillset, and manly way to subvert the typical gay stereotypes, but then the piano scenes and everyone crying 24/7 and giggling over strawberries rubbed me the wrong way. Rather than a tale of badasses, it went out with a whimper and a tear. Even staying true to the anger with the original game end to the couple would have been tougher and more manly and more gay in my opinion. But what do I know, I'm just a gay guy that was unimpressed with the direction. They ruined my man Ron Swanson like this and did this couple that was far more humorous and witty dirty by bad directing.    … Expand

Episode 1 was a great start for the series, a lot of little Easter eggs for fans of the game such as Sara’s shirt Joel’s guitar and the soccer team pictures, Ellie wore Nathan drakes shirt from uncharted, it was a game accurate episode with some slight changes. They gave little more story with Sara which was welcome, we get more backstory of the fungus and how it’s a little different from the games which I personally love the addition.

    Episode 2
    Probably the best episode so far, here we see another addition to the fungus in the fact that all the infected are connected, we also get a glimpse into Indonesia and how they handled the spread of the fungus. The clicker scene was amazingly well shot, Tess death scene was controversial but honestly is better than the game in my opinion.

    Episode 3 By far the worst episode, look I know what you’re thinking, “you just don’t like gay people”. But that has nothing to do with why I hated this episode. I went in knowing that there would be some background into bill and Frank and I was fine with that. But how it was executed was god awful. Bill is my favorite side character in the last of us game, his interactions with Joel and Ellie are some of the funniest moments in the game, his battle hardened survival mentality doesn’t let him trust people, not even joel. When joel convinces bill to help them find a working vehicle he reluctantly agrees because he owes joel a favor. The three go on a mission through the town avoiding traps and killing a bunch of zombies. This is where we see the first bloater, Bill Joel and Ellie encounter the bloater in a school gym and are forced to fight it to move on safely. This would have worked so well for the show. They skipped out on one of the best parts of the game in order to tell a love story that didn’t even matter in the game, in fact in the game it’s revealed that Frank actually grew to hate Bill before he killed himself, it was not this plushy romantic softy love story like the show suggests.    … Expand

    Horrible casting, horrible writing, and a very clearly low budget made this pretty much unwatchable. Not to mention the story in episode 3 didn’t make sense. Replay the game and tell me why they changed it so much.

Just an incredibly boring relationship centric episode with very little action or anything meaningful to move the plot along. I was sleeping halfway through, re-watched it just to make sure, almost fell asleep again. Please go back to telling the story as it was intended to be told.     Episodes 1 and 2 were ok.
    Episode 3 was unnecessary, it was a pointless side-story with no impact on the main story.
    If this is the direction the show is going this will get worst as episodes are released.

    Everything a smart videogame's fan wanted to see, his/her favorite game becoming a really good TV or cinema adaptation. This series goes beyond the game, deeper and deeper into the Story and into spectator's emotions. Superb cast doing a wonderfull work with characters that deserves no less.
