    I were very sceptic regarding this show, as I absolutely love the video game.
    However, after seeing the Pilot episode, I'm overwhelmed.
    There are enough new scenes and changes to make the show interesting and fresh, even thou I know the game inside and out, but at the same time keeping everything that was important the first 2-3 hours from the game. If this is the quality we'll see    I were very sceptic regarding this show, as I absolutely love the video game.
    However, after seeing the Pilot episode, I'm overwhelmed.
    There are enough new scenes and changes to make the show interesting and fresh, even thou I know the game inside and out, but at the same time keeping everything that was important the first 2-3 hours from the game.
    If this is the quality we'll see through the 9 episodes, I'm certain this might become one of my top tv-shows ever seen.

    I think it laughable that all the worst reviews in this are because Sarah isn't white.. I'm no means woke, but get it together with your BS.. So far Episode 1 has been good.

    Different in places from the game we all adore, but it works well and I appreciate the longer run time very much, its good to see a production company not cram as much as they can in to 48 minutes every episode.

    "This is Cinema" - Martin Scorsese. What a riveting and exhilarating start to a show of my favourite video game of all time. I do have some minor gripes with it, however; some changes from the games were made for the worse and are less compelling than they are in the game, but it could be too early to tell.     The most incredible adaptation of a video game in the history, simply amazing this series goes to be the best on the TV this year without a doubt just amazing I can't describe my feelings about this thanks to hbo by do this the people we need more of this amazing things in our lives.

    Very good start(i will update the score after every episode of needed) the acting was great. Didn't hit as hard as the game but that might be because i knew what was going to happen. Still a really promising start and hasn't wait to watch the rest of the season.

    I mean I love the games...really, one of my favorites of all time....this Series is top class. I love the cast, a little bit different but you still feel "home", I like those little additions to the game, this brighter view on the whole thing. Just the beginning is awesome in this talk show, gives you goosebumps already when you know what will happen.     Huge fan of the game (Part1).. I enjoyed the first episode, not a banger, but good. Stayed pretty close to source material, nothing egregious so far. Liked Pedro more than I thought I would as Joel, but something about Ellie just isn’t hitting right. Hopefully my opinion on that changes with a few more episodes. 8/10 so far!

    It seems that we are in a golden age for videogame adaptations, just like Arcane and Edgerunners, i think that this show (at least episode 1) faithfully captures the essence of the original game while improving some stuff. I consider that the virus is a lot more interesting here than in the original game, and a lot scarier to.     The game was amazingly good and the series is also brilliant. Story, characters, visuals are all excellent. I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as the game, but I was wrong! The actors are fantastic. People who throw tantrums because of Joel's beard or Ellie's appearance are not normal. It's not the looks that matter, but the talent and the way the actors play the characters in the game.The game was amazingly good and the series is also brilliant.     Obvious reservations in the beginning when it was very first announced. Then when I saw the collaboration between hbo and naughty dog, spirits lifted, seeing the cast completely put my mind at ease. What a result. The show is so well 0ut together, some nice little touches of its own, very promising start!

    HBO has managed to nail the essence and it has been made into a great TV series.

    I plan to watch this again in 4K, episode 1 is very well made.

    If you've played the game or just watched the stitched-up movie, cut scenes. I'll tell you this much, the father and daughter moment in the beginning where Joel becomes Joel was shot for shot from the game! That moment made me cry again, it was just like the first time I saw it from the movie game cut scenes. I was speechless throughout most of the whole episode. The race swaps were fine,If you've played the game or just watched the stitched-up movie, cut scenes.     Much more than that.

    Already in the first part, he deepens and conveys the character in such a way that there is no scene where we don't get goosebumps from the bone-shaking performance of the now still real butt-head teenager.

    Regardless, there will surely be people who will be shocked by what they already knew: he is not a baby face, but it is not that you cannot say a bad word about his game, it is as visceral as if he had just jumped out of the game. What a miracle he does with the character.

    Joel is awesome too.

    Pedro plays Joel with perfect style and voice.

    His game is unquestionable. The mood is largely given by his broken, tormented, but strong features. Just like in the first part of the game. And he does this without any clichés.

    This is what I dare to say that a mannered Buttler or Jackman would not have been able to do.

    Pedro is at the top and here he proves that he is not without merit.

    What was even more surprising: Gabriel Luna.

    This dude does Tomm's voice like he's the original one, from the game! For real!

    His performance rivals that of Pedro. He really caught the thread and is an incredibly lovable character.

    For me, he became the most likable.

    Marlene give exactly what she's do in the game. Nothing special. Just professionalism. It can be seen that: she already know this inside and out.

    Was there anything I didn't like? Yes.

    Just a few things. But it was.

    Robert's character, for example, was like that.

    But I can't say more without spoilers.

    The story expands/changes just as much as it adds and makes it easier to understand the contexts.

    Even the opening scene is like this, and I guarantee: everyone will be shaking from the cold right there!

    The arrangement is flawless. You can feel the Craig Mazin effect in every frame. Cuts and photography enhance the atmosphere. The dialogues and chemistry work
    One thing is certain: there is no idling. No stopping. No fluff.
    There is Last of Us. Pure Last of us. With lots of accurately translated sentences, pictures, and actions. With vibrating characters. Apothecary mode with working action scenes, raw power and emotions, in a scene and universe composed to perfection. For an hour and a half, it takes even those who have never played the game out of reality. Subjective opinion. Give it a shot! It deserves it. If nothing else, because of the work and creativity involved and because it will definitely be a historical piece, just like the game. It's such a good adaptation, I can confidently say: It's never been made before. Surley liked it! Thank you for this experience!    … Expand

    Watched the entire first season, with my brother who reviewed it, and as a huge fan of the game, this is easily the best adaptation ever, and it’s also just a fantastic tv drama, episode 3 with bill and frank is one of the best episodes of tv ever, and nick and Murray will be easily getting all the awards for that.

    This is precisely how I pictured an adaptation of the game. It's going to be one hell of a ride! And be prepared for surprises because the first episode showed us more of the world, and the story went differently in some parts. All in all, this could finally be the first good video game adaptation in history.

I only found the scene where they were caught by the Fedra agent at the end a little weird. But I think that was possibly synonymous s.der Camera Perspective. otherwise everything was exceptionally good. the acting performances, the sets, the infected ones shown so far everything is consistent and accurate.     I’m so in love with this story that it is difficult to imagine what a viewer without my emotional investment would think. But I find it difficult to believe that they too wouldn’t soon be utterly enthralled in Joel and Ellie’s story which is faithfully and skillfully reproduced here.

    It starts very good but the longer the show goes the more negatives you start noticing. While in the original everything happened smoothly and logically, in the TV show too much was taken out of context. In the game you felt something when Sarah was killed in the show she was just annoying. They changed the show so much away from the game this might as well be another Walking Dead episode. Everything moved to slow and in the end of the episode I was bored out of my mind. On the positive side the world around did feel like a world that is in pain. That did came over from the game a bit. But the characters we should care about in this one was just not there. How can you mess up the casting so badly.… Expand

    This is a slap in the face for all fans of the series. Complete misscast. Don't give a damn about canon. The acting is zero. Moreover, most of the original characters do not resemble themselves, both externally and in their moral image. I tried to like it but it falls so short I just couldn't. I rolled my eyes when the fungus was blamed on climate change. The writing and casting are the weakest links, followed by the directing. The opening of the original game is stunning and has a dramatic impact on the viewer. In the TV show on the other hand, it is completely watered down and diluted so it loses most of that impact. The main players are badly miscast and neither look nor act the part. Also they mumble their lines regularly which is a failure of the director. Pacing is slow, too much talking but not saying anything. Sarah is unlikeable and spends her time scowling, hostile and angry, nothing like the pleasant daughter of Joel in the game. The original game's voice actors for Joel and Ellie are light years ahead of their counterparts in the TV show. And then to the worst part, the complete miscasting of the most important character, Ellie. The casting director should look for a new career.… Expand

    It dragged so long! I don't recognise the two main stars as Joel and Ellie. They are completely different. They have changed so much that this is the Last of Us in name only.

    this show is ok. It is not groundbreaking masterpiece or horrible velma level garbage, but it made me like tlou games less. It made me realize how much of a burden gameplay really is in TLOU games. It is sad because I really like story of tlou games, but now when I look back where is no need to play tlou games when show exists. This makes me really sad honestly.

This world would never fail to entertain or keep the viewer at the edge of their seat, but sadly, the creators undermine their own story's wonderful premise by failing to keep a proper pace, losing opportunities for action and emotional sequences, and, worst of all, choosing to cater to the hypocritical and nefarious political agenda of our time: woke intersectionalism.

    I'm sure you understand the need for equal opportunity and the eradication of prejudice; these are lofty goals that would help advance mankind towards a happier, more prosperous future. However, in modern Hollywood's case, the ends do not justify the means. A resentful industry, bent on presenting a façade of righteousness thru a "holier than thou attitude" cannot possibly advance the cause of impartiality when its true agenda is to receive lavish praise and large monetary gain at the cost of integrity.

    "The Last of Us" television series portrays the original computer game's heroic, Caucasian protagonist as a dead-beat dad with little spine or decision making ability. It further chooses to cast every authority figure in the show as a woman. This would be fine in any previous era of media except our current, in which disparaging men, especially white men, has become commonplace. There is absolutely no justification for this racist and sexist objective; it is based on hate and long held bitterness that betrays the mental illness of its production instead of providing a captivating story with a moral to it.

    To further complicate the matter, Mazin and Druckmann fail to understand the simpler points of proper pacing, plot and script writing. The first episode meanders without a clear trajectory, completely skipping over a bombing (presented without any clear goal) as well as a bloody attack on the Fireflies, and choosing, instead, to highlight less compelling moments in the protagonist's lives, doing so without providing momentum or fostering concern in the viewer. The result is a significant loss of opportunity in terms of action in the show, and a massive loss of character development and presentation.

    The end result is that the show becomes background television fodder, unworthy of a true attention span, unable to hold active interest in its viewer, and instead devolving into a pathetic vehicle to a narcissistic political rhetoric. Only time will tell if the next episodes will be able to overcome these massive shortcomings, but I wouldn't hold me breath, if I were you.    … Expand

    Overall the Show is a 6/10 for me. Episode 3 destroyed to much with that Trash and Episode 6 destroyed the build up for the relationship between Joel & Ellie. So i can give it only a 6/10.
    Don't make Season 2 because NOBODY want's Abby or that usless Stuff from the second Game again. Would be a waste of Time and i would give it 0/10 already after 5 Min's when Abby shows up.     Horrible casting, horrible writing, and a very clearly low budget made this pretty much unwatchable. Not to mention the story in episode 3 didn’t make sense. Replay the game and tell me why they changed it so much.

    Pedro is good as Joel in the show, but something feels weird with Bella as Ellie (also because she looks like she is 20+ years old when she is supposed to be a teenager).

    As always, Neil (the creator of the game and show) is focusing more in the wokeism than in the actual show (same for the games).    … Expand

    Really good show, great acting, writing, production and direction! I was almost burned out on zombie stuff but I went ahead and forced myself to watch this and WOW! First four episodes are fantastic. I know the second game was really controversial and I didn't play it so we'll see how season 2 goes but so far season 1 makes for excellent television. I love the actor who plays Ellie, she's so good!

    This series challenges us to really think of what it means to live in a post apocalyptic world in terms of who is a villain and superhero. It picks up a theme from Station11 which is that there’s more to life than just surviving

    Amazing Show, Needs More Infected and for those looking for gameplay connections shouldn't expect too much from a show from creators who believe "Love supersede's Logic" in a very emotional journey. Like most long format story telling, it always feels 2-3 episodes long. Pacing was solid for many episodes and perhaps they can fix this in season 2 with more Clickers to get those Clicks
