    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I should have waited until I finished the season before posting the first review. After a rough start, the season two found its footing around episode 8 or so and came to a satisfying end, so I recommend sticking it out. Without revealing too many spoilers, I have no idea why they chose to kill Anya, as her successor Lexa doesn't have anywhere near the same gravitas. I guess the writers decided to have someone younger to counter Clarke, but this baby-faced vixen doesn't look like the kind of person who is going to hold an alliance of "Grounders" together. It would have better to go with Indra.

    I liked the concept of Mt. Weather. It reminded me a lot of "A Boy and His Dog," but the writers offered some nice twists of their own, particularly in the President's son, Cage, who is one of the better villains in this show, especially after the "star people" and "tree people" decide to make peace. The situation inside the mountain gives Jasper and Monty a chance to shine. On the outside, Octavia goes Grounder with her heartthrob Lincoln having a pretty tough time of it, but you know these two will come together in the end.

    What drags this show down are the adults. Now that they've joined their children on earth they attempt to impose their rules again, but the kids are having none of it and why should they, as they have shown they can handle the rough and tumble earth on their own. This pits mom against daughter in Abbey and Clarke, while Marcus tries to be peacekeeper. Thelonious Jaha finds his way back to the ark only to go on a "walkabout" to find "The City of Light," which I suppose is the set up for season three as it has almost no relevance to season two other than to divert your attention.

    Quite a few role reversals in the main characters, some for the better, others for the worse. Nice to have Murphy back although he mostly provides comic relief. The show takes itself way too seriously with far too many discursions on morality. The show functions better when it sticks to the action, which revolves around rescuing the 48 kids trapped in the mountain.

    I like the writers' ambition, even if the setting is rather dubious. This is supposed to be the East Coast of the United States, and as we learned in Season One it is Washington, DC, but you would be hard pressed to find terrain like down in the tidewater region of Virginia. Why not have made it British Columbia, where the scenes are actually filmed? It wasn't that important to let us know that Lincoln was named after the Lincoln Memorial. But, this sets up one interesting scene in what is left of the national zoo.

    Ultimately, it comes down to Clarke and Bellamy to save the day. Both characters have grown into their own. As far as teen shows go this is pretty good, even if it has lost the playfulness of the first season. I suppose they had to grow up.    … Expand

    Season 2 continues where season 1 left off. This show is really amazing. Started watching it and couldn't stop. There are so many cool sci fi themes and issues in the show that it really keeps you interested in watching. Characters are also very interesting and bring you in. I would highly recommend this show to any sci fi fan! You won't be disappointed.

    The thrilling continuation of the series. A lot less teeny **** a lot more impossible situations. The show rarely pulls punches and superbly levels the playing field between all factions, making sure that nobody can claim a moral highground.

    The show definitely managed to surprise me a lot more than most. Many moments when you'd expect any other writer to have a hero (or benevolent circumstance) step in go by and it manages to give you an impression of the evil humans are capable of. People die on all sides and few hands are left clean. The characters, even those who were ignorable in season 1, grow and change in interesting ways and the writers did a great job of switching between putting honorable intentions in people's minds and mouths and then confronting them with impossible choices.

    It's not "the best show ever" but it IS great and, assuming the crew doesn't write itself into a corner and the show doesn't overstay its welcome, it's definitely got a shot at staying up there.    … Expand

    The 100 has once again established a mysterious and inventive tone, one that answers just enough questions while asking a whole lot more. The second season of The 100, visually, morally and thematically, quietly builds on the strengths of Season 1.

    The first season stepped it up every week. Who knew season two could do just the same? A stylish, fast-paced take on a post-apocaplytic world 97 years from now.

    Currently one of the best shows I've watched ever. Its a very interesting show to say the least. Its endings want you to come back for more. This season has really stepped it up from last season. I like the characters. I like the atmosphere of this show. These guys have done a really good job with this show.

    The first season was good (the first episodes were ugly) , but season 2 is absolutely incredible ,i just cant believe that this series get so few publicity.

    Great show. A little cheesy at times but the multiple story lines and life / death situations make up for that. Every sci-fi lover should give this show a chance.

    There are two shows I keep this season on DVR and one of them is The 100 the other is Scorpion, which just posted they had 25 million viewers for first show. Can't understand why the ratings are so low for The 100. Well written and exciting to see unfold what happens to these survivors! Please tell others to watch this show!

    I liked a lot the first season then how it start s2 it is very intriguing.
    We Lear a lot more about the surroundings and the new groups.
    I didn't appreciate the end of s2, but the over all experience is great.
    A nice show that is almost free on NetFlix

    This show starts off slow but ends with an interesting note. This show has the quality to deliver the post apocalyptic theme. The story of the show has be continued and portrayed both beautifully and interestingly from the season 2, the season 1 may not be as good as season 2 but it delivers the audience what they want, it picks up quickly and did not descent the hope I have in the show.This show starts off slow but ends with an interesting note.     the 100 has an intriguing premise as we've watch it go from season 1 to the end of season 2 and are left waiting eager for season 3. The characters have grown and changed a bit since they landed and it was good to see the growth and change in decisions and mind sets. Interesting challenges faced as you learn of grounders and mountain men.     Amazing. As I said in my review of the first season, this one is getting much better... I've been quite happy keeping watching the show otherwise I would have missed a lot. I could identify myself to the characters in this season. They had difficult choices to make and it was full of suspense. I'm looking forward to watching the next season!

    At times certain twists in The 100 appear as if stolen from The Walking Dead or perhaps even older apocalyptic cliches, but the series truly grows in depth and quality as it transitions from Season 1 to Season 2. By the end of Season 2, you have a no-nonsense, uncompromising, no-sugar-coating-allowed, epic depiction of what philosophers call the Problem of Dirty Hands. The "internal plausibility" of its world has also increased, and many "finishing touches" appear in Season 2, including one of my obsessions: Trigedasleng -- a force-evolved version of English in the year 2149 designed by linguist David J. Peterson. I am also enjoying the radical color- and gender- and age-blindness of the show. All in all, if we consider Season 1 a "slow and sketchy buildup", the show deserves at least a 7 out of 10.… Expand

    I really loved where season 2 went in comparison with season 1. Even though is a lot more darker, we get to see the characters grow so much (for better or for worse). The mid-season and season finale were definetly highlights of the show.

    And so we have the start of Season 2, again - there's many scenarios that can play out this season without the need for sometimes outlandish or over-the-top extra-terrestrial life mixed in. We already have a show like that on air, it's called Defiance. Not that Defiance is a bad show either. .

    I just hope The 100 keep to the heart of the show and that is with the remaining prisoners turned pioneer along with how the adjoining adults from space and wondering how long it will take before they screw it up again - living on Earth that is.    … Expand

    Through each episode The 100 builds an incredibly well forged fast pace, along with incredible editing, music cues, stunt coordination and specials effects, all of which makes the environment all the more real and compelling.
    The story and the treatment of the characters are as realistic as TV gets, with The 100 pushing both of them to the limits of TV conventions and breaking those limits.
    At one point it seemed as The 100 came to take on Lost's place, but the similarities now are much more closer to Game of Thrones. That doesn't mean the show is a clone or outright copies it; in fact, The 100 has its own aesthetic and its own way with the characters, pace and storyline treatment, but delivering a quality that may just be as high as GoT.
    As a whole, the second season of The 100 doesn't back down or return to the status quo of season 1, instead it embraces the new dynamics and evolves into an even better show than it was before.    … Expand

    I was seriously on the fence about this show, didn’t think it was that interesting and basically watched the first season because I had an hour to kill. The second season premiere did not change my opinion of the show, in fact I thought it was all going that hill from there down but boy I was wrong.

    The new opening theme looks great, it suits the show and make it even more futuristic then just set up in a post apocalyptic world. That said, the Mount Weather storyline was, for a while, the worst one of the show because if you have half a brain, once you know why the Mountain Men still live underground, you guess why they want Clarke and her friends - The 48. But the writers of the show were smart and didn't take the audience for idiots, so Clarke found proof by episode 2. Another reason why I didn’t like the introduction of the Mountain Men was simply consanguinity. If they’ve been living in the Mountain for a nearly a hundred years how the **** are they looking alright? Aren't they all cousins by now?

    Anyway, the show got better, it got real good, real fast the writers dug themselves out of this whole and turned things around. The 100 S2 built on the strengths of season 1 and became intriguing. They've broadened the scope of the show with the mountain men then mentioning the Ice People and they've brought back the monsters, mutated animals, and most importantly they gave layers to the Grounders.
    The battle for power and leadership in the different groups was genius, worthy of a Game of Thrones comparison - No, it wasn’t. I’m being way too kind. There was a lot of twists and turns and it was thrilling to watch. It’s mysterious, exciting, they’ve managed to jam a lot in the series, new characters, new dynamics, and new territories to keep us guessing and asking for more.

    The 100 is shaping up to be one the best non comic book related shows on the CW.

    I wouldn't pay much attention to the negative reviews on here. If you want to watch a show that resembles The Hunger Games and The Divergent movies, then watch The 100. It won't disappoint. When the show first aired on television, I wasn't interested in it because of the name of the show. But then I gave it a shot when I came across it on Netflix when season 2 ended on tv. I watched seasons 1 and 2 in one day! I couldn't stop watching it. The brilliant directors of the 100 reeled me in, and I was hooked. The 100 is so smart and clever in maneuvering the most hardest decisions a character has to make into the most suspenseful moments i've ever seen in a tv show. Not to mention, the story is very well written and very action packed. If you like action, suspense, some comedy, and romance--WATCH THIS SHOW. BEST SHOW EVER :-) it is one of the few shows i obsess over lol. the 100 is such o good show i honestly dont see how some people think the characters are too "fake" or the people in the realtionships "dont have chemistry" um... hello?! have u people see the chemistry between these people?! just look at octavia and lincoln... clarke and bellamy... maya and jasper... lexa and clarke amazing chemistry i will always give The 100 a 10 of 10 i really hope season 3 wont be the last season… Expand

    I have to say this is quite possibly the best season of television I have seen in a long time. Every episode was good and some (like the midseason finale and the actual finale) were simply mind-blowing. The show continues to test the characters and take them down new paths in their character journeys, which is always refreshing to see. It is not afraid of following disconcerting and tragicI have to say this is quite possibly the best season of television I have seen in a long time.     É a continuação emocionante da série. A série definitivamente conseguiu me surpreender, porque pensei que a mesma se desviasse do bom caminho. As pessoas morrem por todos os lados e quase ninguém sai de um problema sem ser afetado. Os personagens, mesmo aqueles ignorantes na primeira temporada, cresceram e mudaram de formas interessantes. Não é a melhor série de sempre, mas ainda é ótima.É a continuação emocionante da série. A série definitivamente conseguiu me surpreender, porque pensei que a mesma se desviasse do bom caminho. As pessoas morrem por todos os lados e quase ninguém sai de um problema sem ser afetado. Os personagens, mesmo aqueles ignorantes na primeira temporada, cresceram e mudaram de formas interessantes.     The fast pace, multiple plot lines and life-or-death scenarios--coupled with solid anchoring from Turco, Cusick and Isaiah Washington--generally compensate for the show’s clunkier aspects and occasionally silly-sounding dialogue.
