This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So two episodes into the 100 2nd Season... And it's still as bad as the first season. Badly written characters (only Clarke has the opinion that the Mountain people are bad while the others are happy to get a meal), characters are doing very naive assumptions which turn out to be true of course, which makes the episode very predictable and just plain boring.
Still I hope it gets better and that Clarke dies soon.

The concept of this show was very interesting, but the characters are overbearing and poorly written. The uneven plot and sophomoric attempt at shock value makes me think that it was definitely trying to emulate shows like LOST and fell short by a mile. This is the kind of show that would have been good if it had been produced by another station, However, like a lot of the CW shows, there is way too much focus on catering to the whims of adolescent viewers who are obsessed with shipping their romantic couple of choice and who are only interested in watching shows with attractive characters in their 20s (there are older characters, but they get a lazy edit and are clearly not the focus of the show), I dropped the show halfway through the 1st season and then picked it up again in the 2nd season because a lot of its fans claimed that it had improved substantially ( I'm a huge fan of that type of Syfy genre and so I really wanted to like it), but I felt that it suffered from the same implausible storylines and poor character development as in the first season. also, despite the show's attempt to be a unique science fiction show about repopulating a damaged Earth, most viewers seem to be primarily obsessed with whether or not two of the lead actors will hook up, which says a lot about the show. Most of the drama comes from manufactured conflicts caused by obvious bad decisions and characters picking fights with each other over things a five minute conversation would solve. Lots of drawn out scenes, characters pausing for no reason (when time is critical), horribly bad dialogue. Plus the whole radiation damage thing just didn't work, it's bad science fiction, like some soapMost of the drama comes from manufactured conflicts caused by obvious bad decisions and characters picking fights with each other over things a five minute conversation would solve. Plus the whole radiation damage thing just didn't work, it's bad science fiction, like some soap opera writer wrote it. So so many tack lines..."I had no choice" is the standard answer when someone really screws up (yah right).

I spent the entire final episode trying to figure out how to share with everyone how bad this is. Season one was good, season two lost it.

Its a gender studies essay delivered through Dawson's Creek story lines and acting in the setting of Lost. There are no redeeming features to this train wreck of a series.

The fast pace, multiple plot lines and life-or-death scenarios--coupled with solid anchoring from Turco, Cusick and Isaiah Washington--generally compensate for the show’s clunkier aspects and occasionally silly-sounding dialogue.

There's blood, drama, and edge-of-your-seat action--no zombies necessary.
