Critic Reviews

  1. I don't know that there's a long-running series here--even the pilot runs out of steam before the end--but I did laugh several times.
  2. In FX's Testees, viewers get a good premise gone sophomorically sideways.

The crass gags--some of which I laughed at--ultimately overwhelm everything else. Better to dole out the tastelessness carefully, so that each crude zinger has some value.

Steve Markle deserved an Oscar for doing that one scene. Superb. Full Review »

Shame FX couldn't have given it another season to catch on. Full Review »

In that respect, Testees ticks all the right boxes. Full Review »
