Sep 3, 2023So this show has some hit and misses but the misses are starting to out weight it all. Cartoon into living beings, god have you destroyed what could have gone amazing.

Aug 8, 2023Anyone complaining about wokeness or shallowness is thinking about it too hard. This is an entirely enjoyable mix of lighthearted adventure and drama that feels a lot like a spiritual successor of TOS. Just like that series, it doesn't take itself too seriously and neither should we.
-
Aug 3, 2023So much better than discovery it's like they are two completely different franchises.
Season 2 is just as good (if not better) than season 1 -
Jul 1, 2023So freaking boring. Is this what Star Trek has become? Just an absolute snore-fest. Boring characters, uninteresting plotlines, lazy writing. Just utter garbage.

Feb 1, 2023lazy and badly written story and characters that act like dumb teenagers, its not good star trek and its not a good show.... just more of the same trash.
-
Oct 15, 2022Episodes ala Alien with Gorns are a masterpiece of science-fiction. Love it with all my heart. The best Star Trek series ever made.

Sep 30, 2022I'm writing to thank you so much for Star Trek Strange New Worlds. I savor every minute as a starving man would every bite of a juicy steak. THIS IS STAR TREK! Showing people the possibilities and that human beings can be noble to the point of being moved to tears. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

Sep 9, 2022Weak stories. Woke production. Plastic caricatures of Start Trek characters. Weak relationships. Some good acting but mostly weak. This is another example of how to wreck a timeless series that Disney has gotten very good at. We rate it a "don't waste your time."

Jul 7, 2022Why is everyone on this show an idiot?
It makes it unwatchable when everyone keeps making dumb decisions and never learn once from their mistakes. -
Jun 17, 2022Just like discovery.
Little house on the prairie in space.
Wokeness, moralistic, box ticking.
What happened to the true Star Trek?
Unbearable to watch anymore. -
Jun 8, 2022I am not saying that it's an excellent show but it absolutely feels like they are again concentrating on episodic exploration instead of saving the world in a 12-episode movie. It was definitely better than Picard's second season.
-
Jun 5, 2022really refreshing new look on old mixer . love to see more from this serie keep it up
-
Jun 3, 2022Classic Trek with more modern sensibilities and craft. If Discovery or Picard didn't scratch that "planet of the week" itch, SNW is what you were looking for.
-
Jun 3, 2022This is an example of what Star Trek does best. The cast is brilliant and Anson Mount is an amazing Captain Pike.
-
Jun 2, 2022The only thing they're discovering in deep space is a myriad of virtue signals and woke nonsense. If you want to watch a better space show, try "Orville". What started out as a parody, has become a much better show, with deeper character work, than this show could possibly muster.
-
May 30, 2022good cast and efx but so far the writing has been bland. maybe the formula is just too old? Discovery and Picard started great a quickly fizzed out. This is starting slow so I'm hoping it build towards something better?

May 27, 2022Absolutely fantastic Trek! It's hard to believe this show is as well written with great characters and amazing production value. NO forced woke politics so prevalent in modern shows has yet appeared in the first 4 episodes with all the characters working together as an equal crew. Truly great stuff so far.

May 15, 2022This show is rad. I enjoy the return to episodic storytelling and all that characters are interesting and fun. Ethan Peck kills it as Spock. Anson Mount as Capt Pike is fantastic. Jess Bush as Nurse Chapel is possibly my favorite. I wish the special effects weren't so muddy and "realistic." Between this and Lower Decks all the old and new Trek fans should be very happy.

May 14, 2022Old guy here. I loved the original series, TNG, and even Voyager. This is the first Star Trek series since that, for me, has the same vibe as those earlier series. For the record, I could barely swallow Picard season 2 (which did mostly redeem itself but not until the final episode).

May 12, 2022Never thought I'd say this since Kelvin, but this actually looks good so far. Contrarily to DIS/PIC and co. Some real Trek for the TOS/TNG fans once. The Orville actually might have some competition now. We'll see.

Comfort blanket Trek with a great cast, snappy writing and plenty of strands to unwind in future episodes, Strange New Worlds achieves everything it intends. But there’s a lingering feeling that there’s perhaps not quite enough that’s strange or new.
-
The first six episodes are fun, light, and well-crafted, but much of what Strange New Worlds offers can’t help but come off as clever franchise strategizing.
-
“Strange New Worlds” is at its best in its fifth episode, which delivers more cheeky fun and short bursts of character development with economy that are more meaningful than the paragraphs of breathless character exposition found in the first four episodes.
