There are very few shows that I binge these days, and this is one of them. I get early seasons of Lost vibes from it. It is well acted, well written, and well conceived. I almost gave up on the show after watching the first 15 minutes, but I'm glad I pushed through or I would have missed outThere are very few shows that I binge these days, and this is one of them. Silo Season 01 was a decent start to the series. While it had its flaws, it also had its moments of brilliance. The intriguing concept and well-developed characters kept me engaged, although the slow pacing and predictable dialogue held it back.

No spoilers :) Well it's way to early to rate the series as a whole, consider this rating it's for the first two episodes i watched. So my rating is likely to change over time. That said, i liked the plot so far, kinda reminded me the City of Ember movie or even a bit of the Fallout games ifNo spoilers :) Well it's way to early to rate the series as a whole, consider this rating it's for the first two episodes i watched. It's just not very good. I got through most of episode 4 and gave up.
It's very formulaic, I don't care about any of the characters. The acting ranges from passable to bad. Multiple instances of thinking "people don't talk like that" when listening to the dialogue. The last straw was the useIt's just not very good. I got through most of episode 4 and gave up.

The last straw was the use of boring pointless flashbacks (characters should wear their history in their mannerisms, choices, body language. Flashbacks are a sign of lazy writing 80% of the time) and awful child-acting.

I would give a lower score, but it gets the benefit of the remaining episodes' doubt. Things that may improve in the future include the worldbuilding (uninterestingly executed but has potential) and plot (currently appears to be a standard murder mystery/conspiracy).… Expand

Well, the books were not good, poorly constructed environment, weak and uninteresting characters (no, a Mary Sue is not an interesting model). So, it's normal for the TV adaptation not to be Sci-fi. It's not fantasy or dystopian either but it's a post-apocalyptic teenage drama. Why Teenage?Well, the books were not good, poorly constructed environment, weak and uninteresting characters (no, a Mary Sue is not an interesting model). So, it's normal for the TV adaptation not to be Sci-fi. It's not fantasy or dystopian either but it's a post-apocalyptic teenage drama. Why Teenage? In the books the author does not understand current technology, neither did the screenwriters (the vertical steam turbine which stops in mere seconds, restarts in the same lapse of time, have blades repaired like you remove a bump on a steel panel).

At more than 140 stories deep, the heat exchange becomes a problem of epic proportions, same goes for water circulation and air circulation and CO2 scrubbing.

The people relationships do not make any sense either: it's exactly the portrayal of adults relationships from a teenager's point of view: they have their hopes and dreams in mom and dad, the characters are not responsible for themselves (their destinies are chosen for them), they can go to school but have to be back to bed by 10pm, growing is scary (the characters do not dare speaking of the unforbidden truths) and if you steer too far from your parents' love you are kicked out of the family, etc.

In the screenplay in the first episode, Rashida Jones pulls a birth control device so big that not feeling it in your body is utterly unbelievable.

The whole series books/tv shows relies on grounds so shaky that's it's funny to watch it to pick it apart. Again, good concept but unbelievably poorly executed by serious peoples in boardroom completely disconnected from reality. And that is what truly breaks the camel's back.… Expand
