Nov 16, 2016Hopefully gets better, but right now the dialogue is so cringey. Really horrible. Also the wife convincing the main character to kill someone. Very unrealistic and the corny music really makes this whole thing very campy.

Jan 20, 2017The series started well with an interesting plot. In later episodes it becomes very apparent that there wasn't enough story for a whole series. The last few episodes the story is just dragged on without the situation really changing. The characters also start making nonsensical decisions that really hurt immersion.

Jan 21, 2017The story wasn't that interesting, the soundtrack was really bad, the acting wasn't that good (especially Swagger's wife, she's horrible), it wasn't always believable and there were a few plot holes. Do yourself a favour and go watch the movie instead of wasting your time with this series.

May 7, 2017Some American trash is good. Some American trash is not.
Ryan Phillipe = Good American trash in my opinion, and as a result makes shooter some what watchable.
Pretty weak dialogue and pretty corny. -

Jun 3, 2017Shooter is a good series, is entertaining I liked watching this, however is very common building an action drama around a military hero and show the US government influence in conflicts of other countries, I'll be waiting for the second season

In general, the further Shooter strays from Phillippe’s character, the weaker the show becomes.
-
The problem with building an action drama around a sniper is that the work by its nature requires people to be several yards away from each other. A climactic gunfight in the season finale goes as far as to show the math--the mental calculations the shooters have to do to make their shot--to juice up the action. It doesn’t work. Shooter excels in one area--grotesque head shots.
-
Although the pilot sets up a potentially provocative scenario in which a law-abiding gun owner becomes an object of government suspicion, Shooter ultimately feels diluted and toothless.
