    It’s bloody, grim, as overtly sexual as a commercial broadcast network can be, occasionally engrossing and only tangentially related to any serious inquiry into Christianity.

    What ABC has tried to do is make something that will appeal to the sword-and-sandal crowd and the faith-based one. Predictably, neither will be pleased.... Prophets manages a few things well--notably the production values--and gives American TV audiences their first good, long look at the fine veteran British actor Ray Winstone. Newcomer Rix is promising, too.

It is gorey, voiolent and lacks likeable characters and mostly does not convey any messages the books of Samuel are supposedly meant to do.     watched the premeire of this show last night and gotta say that it seems abc has finally came up with a decent drama from this week it wasntwatched the premeire of this show last night and gotta say that it seems abc has finally came up with a decent drama from this week it wasnt as sexual as some have said it completley keeps your intrest full of action suspence and drama i will most defenetly be watching agin i feel this could be the start of something new and long awaited for abc the start of actual good drama not just comedy… Full Review »

    I like this show, I find it interesting and better than most reality shows, to me it never started off slow it came right out of the gateI like this show, I find it interesting and better than most reality shows, to me it never started off slow it came right out of the gate ready to go. I will assume it probably will not be picked up and that will be a shame, I am 100% sure if it was given another season and broadcast-ed out there more so people actually knew about it, then it would really take off..
    I say ABC has gotten it right, full of action, suspense and yes at times a little sexual but heck bring it, as above better than reality shows.. Keep this show going !!    … Full Review »
