    The first season is most definitely the best out of the whole anime. It has hilarious scenes, but with a very mature plot. Each of the characters have their own different traits, and back stories are slowly revealed. Just simply: Excellent.

    Fillers aside, Naruto is an exceptionally deep and interesting anime. This is a show that tries to balance the childish (humor) with the mature (plot, characters) and succeeds. The sometimes dark themes never overshadow or bog down the story. Characters are varied, each having their own distinctive appearance and fighting style. The greatest achievement of Naruto is its dedication toFillers aside, Naruto is an exceptionally deep and interesting anime.     First season of this anime alone is well worth anyones time, especially if one never saw manga version. Of course next seasons are also great and only fillers are best left out of big picture, tho most are watchable. Definitely a must see for anyone who at least digests anime.

Now personally, as a critic, it would be unfair to write a review of Naruto for other users due to the fact that I am totally biased. I love Naruto. It has great, developed, memorable characters, awesome animation, incredible action sequences, and an enveloping, incredible world. Now personally, as a critic, it would be unfair to write a review of Naruto for other users due to the fact that I am totally biased. I love Naruto. It has great, developed, memorable characters, awesome animation, incredible action sequences, and an enveloping, incredible world. It is my favorite anime, by far, next to Cowboy Bebop. That being said, looking at the first season from an objective view point, it has slow pacing, little action, and many of the Shonen anime cliches (when something 'incredible' happens the shocked faces of all those in the scene are suddenly blasted on the screen, long monologues during a battle, etc.). This is of the first season. I really don't care, myself. I relish every episode. But putting myself in a position of whether I would recommend it to anyone on the spot, it disdains me that the beginning of the series is kind of off-putting to non-anime fans. So to average out my opinion with those who haven't yet seen the show, I have lowered my review to a 5/10. This score is of the first season, remember. The show really picks up during the chunnin exams arc with more character development, action, and a further exploration of the shows universe. So, would I recommend the first season of Naruto? Yes. But you may not like it. The fact is some people have different tastes. Some don't like anime. I do and I don't blame other people who could care less. But if you don't, why are you reading a lengthy, raving review about it… Expand

    I admittedly liked this show when I was younger, but with boring characters that are overly melodramatic, painfully slow "action", and a plot that's dragged out through almost 30 Seasons (including Shippuden), I can't think of many things I wouldn't rather do than watch this garbage again.

    I hated this show. I didn't watch the entire series, but I just couldn't. I don't actually watch anime for comedy, I watch it for action with story and mixes of emotion. This has action and comedy, but the story is just so incredibly dull and stupid that I wanted to gouge my eyes out. All my friends were like "Oh, well it gets better! Just keep watching" but I just couldn't. It's bad.I hated this show. I didn't watch the entire series, but I just couldn't.     I really wish the Anime was as good as the manga but its not really. Especially for the English Dub fans out their. Not everybody watches the Subs. Naruto is also nerved down due to the "kids" views. If this series was on Adult Swim then maybe its English Dub would have been amazing. Sadly this didn't happen. It gets a but better in Shippuden but the series could have been handled better.

    This is an awesome anime and Naruto Shippuden is more and more nice I would advice every body to watch it where it talks about a whole life of a boy who is really a good friend.

As far as I'm concerned this anime is fantastic. It's the story of a young ninja who's viewed as an outcast of society. His only dream is to become the most powerful ninja he can so that others will accept him. Throughout his journey to be the best he fights powerful rivals and forms strong bonds with others. Season 1 does a fantastic job of introducing us to the characters and their world right off the bat without sacrificing the main plotlines. This is extremely impressive of any anime, but Naruto deserves the most praise for it because it has so much going on in it. It continually gets better as it progresses, and it really hits its stride when events revolving around the Chunin exam arc start showing up. This is when more of the phenomenal supporting characters start showing up. It's also when the show takes a dramatic improvement in its animation. The whole theme of the anime is about watching these characters learn, live, and fight while they are yet still growing up. It's emotional, funny, and downright shockingly violent at times considering that the main characters are all just kids. This is a rare anime that can appeal to adults and kids alike. So if you haven't checked out Naruto yet I recommend that you do. Season 1 is fantastic, and it only gets better from there.… Expand

    I watched this series twice under two months.... simply great! Without filler episodes would be even better, but it is still worth 10 points! And one more again: GREAT!!

    The best anime I've ever seen in my life, Naruto is definitely the king of all!

    Naruto's story is something captivating, holding their attention, and be exciting.

    This is probably one of the most loved anime over all but I cant see it that way at all!
    At first to say this is a Ninja anime i can only answer are you kidding me?
    It is about a loud as f... Child wich i cant stand at all who is not at all something you could even call a ninja! He is as far away from being a ninja as you can get no killing atmosphere and also no stealth or anything    This is probably one of the most loved anime over all but I cant see it that way at all!

    Naruto was not as good as Naruto Shippuden, but it still was good.

    Pros:
    - Great Fights
    - Good Characters
    - Good Backstorys
    - Good Storytelling
    - Good Characters Designs

    Cons:
    - Fillers
    - A little infantilize

    Getting the flaws out of the way the animation in the first 80 episodes is a bit of a mixed bag sometimes, and then the barraged of filler episodes, after the sasuke retrieval arc, I don't mind filler but still they could have instead dedicated those last 85 episodes to Narutos training with jiraiya, make its own series, that would have been interesting.     The catching, dynamic debut of the misbehaving, restless but heroic wanna- be hokage. The plot blends in witty way action sequences with humor. Once begin to follow, you wont able to say STOP!

    Arguably one of the greatest opening arcs in shonen anime, this arc not only introduces to fan-favorite characters such as Kakashi and some really great villains in the form of Zabuza and Haku. the series also excels at music as well, with the soundtrack becoming so iconic to anime almost 2 decades later.

    I actually do love watching Naruto and would love to give 10/10 points but I just can't. There is always that one sound which is killing my ears. Most of the time when something weird, speciall happens the sound comes and destroys my mood of watching the series. It's hard to explain. It sounds like someone would torture a cat or something. This is also the main reason why I never could watch Naruto Series straight till the end. I've managed to watch the 1st Anime of Naruto and that took me a long time and ear bleeding. I rlly don't get it. WHY is that sound in this anime. It sounds sooooooooooo horrible. I've stoped Shippuden because that sound is there too and even more often. Gosh whyyyyyy are they using something which can disturb someone so hard to even watch their stuff.… Expand
