This is a show that tries to balance the childish (humor) with the mature (plot, characters) and succeeds. The sometimes dark themes never overshadow or bog down the story. Characters are varied, each having their own distinctive appearance and fighting style. The greatest achievement of Naruto is its dedication to character development, giving each one a goal and a purpose. The world in which the show is set is also developed, from customs to equipment, lending authenticity to the world of the show. Though not incredibly original, Naruto is a show that can be enjoyed by anyone who gives it a chance.… Full Review »

    First season of this anime alone is well worth anyones time, especially if one never saw manga version.     I hated this show. I didn't watch the entire series, but I just couldn't. I don't actually watch anime for comedy, I watch it for action withI hated this show. I didn't watch the entire series, but I just couldn't. I don't actually watch anime for comedy, I watch it for action with story and mixes of emotion. This has action and comedy, but the story is just so incredibly dull and stupid that I wanted to gouge my eyes out. All my friends were like "Oh, well it gets better! Just keep watching" but I just couldn't. It's bad. Maybe if you're a small child or if you have a bad taste in comedy, you'd enjoy it. But if you like shows like Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist, forget about this.… Full Review »
