    Haven't missed a single episode since the Sept. 2009 debut, but with the season six premiere "Modern Family" has officially jumped the shark. The script by comedy veteran Danny Zuker was so bad I can't believe they agreed to produce it. Every scene rang hollow, as if the writer and director had never seen a single episode of this series. Comedy as desperate and hacky as Ed O'Neill'sHaven't missed a single episode since the Sept. 2009 debut, but with the season six premiere "Modern Family" has officially jumped the shark. Comedy as desperate and hacky as Ed O'Neill's "Married With Children." I hope to God it returns to form next week or it will be put to shame by the syndicated reruns of the previous five near-perfect seasons.… Expand

    Sorry not sorry. The spark is gone. Modern family used to be a high class master comedy. Now it's unfunny and terrible. And I wanna say that if this wins the emmy this year ahhhhhh!

    This premier tonight was HORRIBLE. The writing was bad, Cam was creepy as a possessed honeymooner, Alex was a screaming banshee, Luke just does not have a defined role, it was just a really bad episode. Claire had her hair spiffed up with extensions, what happened to the sloppy pony tail, that is more realistic. Also, the guest stars they bring in are more of a detraction than anythingThis premier tonight was HORRIBLE.     This show has gotten stale as the writers have gotten lazy. In the early episodes, they did an excellent job of creating storylines and dialogue real people could relate to their own family experiences. Now, it goes for the cheap laugh. In episode 3, there are a couple of scenes where Luke is slapping Phil to "snap out of it". That plays out well in a SNL skit, but not in a sitcom that isThis show has gotten stale as the writers have gotten lazy.     I continue to watch this not just to do these reviews but to hope it gets better but with every new season I am disappointed I felt this would be the start of a turn around but nope oh well maybe season 7 but I doubt it.

    This show has gotten so awful. Rapid fire puns and bad jokes, no one acts remotely normal anymore. It's all manic and nuts. Gloria's voice is so annoying she could cause seizures. The show is now offensively bad. What a shame, the first two seasons were so funny.
