It’s a show that’s not very dramatic, not very melodramatic, and not very funny. Even after four episodes, the characters still feel thinly drawn and we don’t have sympathy for anyone in the cast.

While it may get better, I doubt it will be worth watching in anything less than a total binge with heavy use of fast forward. Full Review »

The first 3 episodes show a backstory for the main characters: kids from all the racial color spectrums from multimillionaire families with first world problems (i have everything i need in life ohhh nooo i must RUN AWAY!!!) One of the main characters is a purple haired LGBT feminist, trying to give people LGBT leaflets in front of her school, which nobody wants, and this stresses her out. And so she RUNS AWAY. Because people are not interested in learning all 63 genders and destroying the patriarchy. Yes, there is a 5 min long scene, where the purple head feminist is explaining patriarchy. No powers, no main villains, no nothing. Just verbal diarrhea for 45 minutes. Giving this trash show a 0 is being generous. Full Review »

From the first episode, there was this slow, aimless feel to it, reinforced as it went along by the introduction of a lot of bland characters one after the other.

In spite of the Marvel connection, the feel was more teen drama than fantasy, which made more sense once I learned it was from the people who did the OC.

Fans of that show, I take it, are the target audience, rather than people who want an exciting action/fantasy series like Legion or The Gifted. If you want some teen drama threaded with a superhero theme, you're welcome to it, but I certainly won't watch any more of this tedious thing.
