My wife and I love watching this series. It's not perfect and it's a little cheesy here and there, but it has heart, even if they hit you over the head with it sometimes. It has enough bang for our buck for a sci-fi show to make us want to binge it. I really hope there's more seasons!

Oh and the amount of times I heard characters talking about how the Robinsons are pretty much Mary Sues

Simply one of the best sci-fi serie I've seen the last 5 years with my family. Netflix has done here what Disney should have done with SW. A lot of criticism, especially around woke agenda, etc but to be honest It did not disturb me at all here (versus all the latest crappy Dark Fate, Charlie's angels, etc). In fact, I specially like the Dr Smith femail character (I hate it, but that's the goal) and I like the female characters in that serie. I have personally no forced feelings. Anyway, look at it simply for fun. Superb visuals, perfect cgi, consistant scenario, etc. Simply excellent. Expand

Ah yes! The family friendly space adventure! In season 1, humans have to leave Earth after alien ship crashes on Earth and causes the air to deteriorate (or something). Robots want their precious engine back, so they attack the big ship called The Resolute. Will Robinson then befriends one of them, and the Robot then saves them from a second killer robot.

Robots want their precious engine back, so they attack the big ship called The Resolute. Will Robinson then befriends one of them, and the Robot then saves them from a second killer robot.

In season 2 the Robinsons find their way back to the Resolute, and thus starts a string of obstacles they have to solve every time.

The second season improves on the first, as the stakes feel higher but doesn't stray from throwing interesting science facts in your face. Most of the characters are endearing, but some *Ughe* Smith *Ughe* are downright annoying.
The mission to go to Alpha Centauri is continued, though with some big problems along the way.

I have to give huge praise to the CGI in this show, as I'm blown away by the fact that it looks freaking good. There are big movies in Cinema that don't even come close, and i love the alien creatures. Very well done in the CGI department.

The children take more of a Centre stage in this season, and they take on bigger tasks. The robot returns, and he evolves into a machine that does not just follow orders. Much better for the plot.

It was once again a good season! I give it a 7/10.

    A superior second season.
The production values are still high, but the plot is more focused.

There is some forward momentum with the overarching plot about how humanity’s last stand is built on stolen alien technology, but not enough to make the new season look like something more than a smoother series launch. You won’t get lost in Lost In Space, but the family-friendly adventures of the Robinsons will still make for solid viewing over the holiday break.

Although the individual characterizations and performances aren’t especially inspired, there’s still a genuinely heartwarming family dynamic at play throughout the season. The Robinsons play off each other’s strengths well and their teamwork and inexhaustible supply of ingenuity makes for plenty of feel-good fun, even if never shakes that feeling of familiarity.
