More of the same, the visuals are really cool and it’s basically ‘this is us’ in space with some good emotional moments. The generic characters, you know where the main characters do everything/know everything and everyone else just gets in the way gets repetitive and is very limiting.

Even more woke than season one, with kids being better than the cherry-picked adults to "save humanity"? They even have a Newt this time around, and a trash-compactor scene showing that JJ Abrams is not the only one who likes to "borrow" aspects of other people's stories. The worst part is that most of the danger comes from easily avoidable issues (especially the last). The worst part is that most of the danger comes from easily avoidable issues (especially the last). The worst are scenes like "The power of Math" which is a cringe inducing scene from Star Trek: Discovery that apparently seemed good enough to appropriate. It does have good visuals, mostly decent acting (though a few of the Will's lines should have been directed better), but it falls flat with a paper-thin story full of agenda that is mostly just running back and forth, while tossing scientific jargon at the viewer that occasionally makes sense, but is mostly just techno-babble. For example: the first planet they are on is Methane rich, and Methane can easily be converted to Ammonia (important later on - no spoilers). No one on the writing team apparently passed high school Chemistry. Expand

I'm sorry but 80% of screen time is women/girls only. Men/boys are depicted as incompetent needed to be saved, in the few minutes of screen time they get. Did this show become a feminist propaganda? What message is it supposed to send to the target audience? I found the last 2 episodes of season 2 enjoyable, the rest was just conveniently stupid and boring. Sad we cant have a show whichI'm sorry but 80% of screen time is women/girls only. @Iann22: Ladies and gentlemen, we have a sexist. I don't think there's a problem with the men being saved by the women for a change. For a long time, it has always been the other way around in movies and TV. The rest of the show is nice but forgettable (like literally, you probably won't remember much of it after a few days). The visuals are amazing, everything looks polished. there's a lot of potential but most of it is wasted. The second last episode of the season moves really fast, ends with a really incredible cliffhanger... Just to fast forward and skip all the good parts in the season finale. They wanted to have their cake and eat it too, they wanted to have an awesome climax but they didn't want to pay for any of the visual effects and anything else that would be required to pull it off. so just like they do with the rest of the story, they make things happen that make no sense.

There is some forward momentum with the overarching plot about how humanity’s last stand is built on stolen alien technology, but not enough to make the new season look like something more than a smoother series launch. You won’t get lost in Lost In Space, but the family-friendly adventures of the Robinsons will still make for solid viewing over the holiday break.

Although the individual characterizations and performances aren’t especially inspired, there’s still a genuinely heartwarming family dynamic at play throughout the season. The Robinsons play off each other’s strengths well and their teamwork and inexhaustible supply of ingenuity makes for plenty of feel-good fun, even if never shakes that feeling of familiarity.
