Dec 29, 2018In short - great for kids around 8-12 years old. Technical quality is great, proper mix of CGI and real props, interesting questions asked. Just keep in mind that it's meant for kids and don't expect deep dark story, blood or X-rated content.

May 25, 2018Excellent and well done first season! Great character development. Interesting take on the robot. They really make you hate this Dr. Smith.

Apr 13, 2018Perfect show to watch as a family!! It feels kinda like the tone of Jurassic Park crossed with The Martian. Parker Posey is weird and hilarious and perfect as Dr. Smith. It's inspiring to see the kid characters being so brave and strong. The music and effects are AMAZING. Feels like a 10 hour movie. Love love loved it, can't wait to watch it through again!

Apr 13, 2018Any time a show has me wanting to see the next season is a good show watched Lost in Space in 1965 and upon watching this one I found myself wanting to throw Dr. Smith out the airlock just like the original. Special effects are excellent. Did have problem with it supposedly getting so cold so fast that it froze the water but not the people exposed to the open air.

Apr 14, 2018Fun, engaging, and exciting. Great spin on a classic concept, with familiar components interacting with new takes. Solid acting, wondrous effects, and a great soundtrack. Family shows apparently are given the side-eye now, but don't be fooled. Well worth the watch!

Apr 14, 2018I am not sure what the other reviews are talking about. This is a pretty fun and neat reboot of the series. Does not have the awful cheese as the movie from way back when.
Great visual effects, good plot, family friendly. Worth watching and I hope we have a second season. -
Apr 15, 2018I loved this show, the characters are really good, VFX are amazing, and the sounds and score to this show is amazing. Really good job!

Apr 15, 2018No sense of urgency. When seconds count everyone seems to have minutes to stop and chat. Otherwise a good show.

Apr 16, 2018What an amazing reboot. This was an inventive twist on a great show. I can’t wait for season two. I even joined this metacritic site just so I could vote and encourage Netflix to keep it going.

Apr 17, 2018I loved this show. First rate production, excellent cast, great story and amazing special effects, I'm hopeful there will be a season 2 and after watching the final episode, I do believe there will be a sequel.

Apr 17, 2018The setting of the show its self is outstanding! The rising action in every episode is amazing as well. the producer should consider a season 2 and probably more. This is more than a show; this is art.

Apr 18, 2018This is one of the best of Lost In Space I have been a fan from the beginning and have seen all the other attempts to remake this one is the best Netflix knocked it out of the park this one is great have finished watching season one can't wait for season two what a great show.

Apr 18, 2018I think this show is amazing. All these lame reviews from such revered critics comparing this to battle star, or its original. This is a stand alone show, with its own unique spin. Praying for a 2nd season!

Apr 19, 2018The characters are well crafted. Dr. Smith is the Devil herself and very well played. The storyline and backstory is well written and excellent. I give it 10 out of 10, and pooh-pooh on the skeptics... or is that poo-poo on the skeptics. Both work just fine. Cheers.

Apr 20, 2018Great show, the original wasfun for its time but this show is for adults as well as kids. The characters are appealing, especially the further into the show you get. Posey is amazingly creepy as Smith,The robot is fascinating.Watch the show all the way thru,it's worth it!
-
Apr 21, 2018A family-friendly action adventure with depth, charm and heart with nostalgic nods to the 60's classic, and cinematic vistas and music.

Posey plays the role with a gravity that encourages the show to orbit her, eccentrically, whenever she’s in view. The dynamic exemplifies the awkwardness of this muddled update. Charging in several directions at once, it asks the viewer to imagine efforts to secure a proud future for humankind, but it seems most vital when painting depraved schemes to survive.
-
Oddly enough, it’s the robot who proves most engaging. ... What really makes the robot stand out is its complexity. It’s mysterious, both in its origins, intentions, and inability to over-communicate. The human characters don’t earn the same mystery.
-
The thrill of exploration, or the examination of family dynamics, never feels like it arises organically from the action, in the way it might have on the show’s most obvious forebear that isn’t its direct predecessor: Lost.
