    Insatiable Season 1 Review: 6/10
Insatiable is fun to watch but lacks direction. The story sometimes didn't have any sense at all but that doesn't mean its a bad show, it's just a normal one.

Netflix should be ashamed of this series. Horrible!

This series is rich in the pending events. I need a season 2! Only Netflix can do series on such serious themes.

This show brings reality into humor and makes the show very interesting and makes you want to watch more and more. I love the creativity of every single episode and I hope for a season 2. All throughout the show there are realistic, humorous, and eye catching scenes. I highly recommend watching this show!

Hilarious. As a Southerner, I have to praise Dallas Roberts on edging Zach Galifinakis' Marty Huggins as GREATEST SOUTHERN EFFEMINATE of all time (SE GOAT). There's nothing in this series that would offend anyone with an actual sense of humor. Enjoy it for what it is, a unique, ballsy satire of an overlooked subculture.

A fun, satirical, crazy show filled with many twist and turns. This show honestly is really funny and an easy binge watch. With the over-dramatic acting of Debby Ryan and the quirky twist Dallas Roberts gives their individual characters makes the show that much better!

It doesn't matter if it's based on true life or not, someone should have stopped this misproduced, unfunny, broad mess from reaching the airwaves. Absolutely reprehensible shock value "comedy" that fails to live up to excellent performers like Arden Myrin.

    It's simply terrible.

Lets forget about all the hate during the whole show (fat shaming etc), the main character is first portrayed as a sweet girl and then she suddenly becomes a raging **** The first episode was decent but then it all turned to sh*t.

Like Black Mirror, but with a good dose of dark humor and a teenager's aspect of modern society. Enjoyed every episode and thumbs up for the actors, director and the rest of the crew.

Terrible. Without doubt, the worst TV show I have ever seen. The caracters are weak, mean, virtually unlikable; puppets with no courage or will to fight against their basest instincts and shocking lack of values. The storyline is full of holes. This was actually really uncomfortable to watch.

If you are a fan of Riverdale, then there is a good chance that you will appreciate Insatiable. This series is edgier than the former but don't let that stop you. This show is good. I don't understand the critic's poor reviews. Maybe they are playing it safe. Insatiable hits a lot of strings when it strums. The story is fun, well written, and the actors back this up with excellent performances.

It's not great, it's not that good either, but it's also absolutely not that bad -- and honestly it's not even that problematic. While some dialogue might feel a little bit akward and "eh" at some points, the show itself does deal with its subjects somewhat carefully. I really can't comprehend why the critics reviewed this show so poorly.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Eu vi a série para confirmar se a série, de facto, pratica "fat shaming". Não faz. A série é uma sátira óbvia e não encontrei nenhum momento ofensivo. A série explora as raças, a homossexualidade e a imagem corporal. Se és muito sensível a piadas sobre estes tópicos, não te recomendo a série.
Só não gostei da história à volta do "trio" bissexual (?) e o final completamente rídiculo e sem nexo.

I, however, liked it.

Admittedly things get a little dark or touchey a few times. However, it doesn't happen as thoroughly the reviews say. Overall, I thought this was pretty funny, inventive, and unpredictable.

Most of the characters can be over-the-top selfish, but at the same time they are all have problems and personal demons and can be pretty sympathetic. One downside is that the show juggles way too many characters. There are some people you want to see more of, but the writers just don't have the time.

Great cast all around. The MVP though is Irene Choi as treacherous and super dumb contestant rival Dixie Sinclair. Although this type of character is far from original, she has a distinctive flair and steals every scene she is in.

Listen, if you don't like dark comedy, this won't work for you. Otherwise, you might have a fun time.

Its from a writer off Dexter, so whoever was expecting a heartfelt exploration of body issues face by an innocent girl needs to call up Dr. Phil and invite him over for popcorn and Juno. This show is nihilism as social commentary, it is not finding Dory rewritten to speak to pressing social issues about how bad Seaworld is. This is a show about bad parents and flawed people, not about how screenwriters are going to save the world by tackling social issues until we reach utopia. This show is a lot like Dexter or Fight Club with violence or Curb Your Enthusiasm with offensiveness, but I guess the producers missed the memo from popular critics that only shows with male leads are allowed to be nihilistic and offensive. Shows with female leads have a duty to play first lady and be a healthy body image campaign. Maybe those critics are not so woke after all. Expand

I don't understand all the negative critic reviews. It's almost like they didn't watch the show. I found it riveting and binge watchable, and it definitely picked up steam the further you got into it. It was pretty original, dealt with themes of self-hatred and outer appearances, in society, and was funny and weird. I was bummed when I finished it, now I have to wait a year!

The whole series seemed thrown together with story lines introduced and dealt with within a matter of ten minutes before continuing onto another pointless problem in Pattys life. I understand the message trying to be put across but can assure you that there are 101 other ways to do so. I think it’s quite disappointing considering people pay for the extra tv ‘luxury’ of Netflix and are presented with this show. I just really cannot believe it was aired, what for? It wasted hours of life. They pushed people to watch it as many were sceptical at first through watching the trailer. It shows a plus sized teenage girl being bullied for her weight and how life wasn’t so perfect before suddenly becoming ‘skinny and pretty’ and wanting revenge. It is literally the strangest series, she’s plus sized for about 15 minutes throughout the whole thing so the trailer fixating on that was pointless. I thought it was a little insulting to see a stick thin actress put on a ‘fat suit’ to try and portray a plus sized girl. Why would you do that? It just all seemed a bit low budget with Debbie Ryan being the face that sells it, even though this has ruined my perception of the talent I thought she had. PLEASE do not bother with another season, no one cares about the cliffhangers, you tried your best so find another hobby now. Expand

Here's what Insatiable is not: an exercise in fat-shaming or any other teenage caste cruelty. Sure, Patty gets mocked and abused, but the kids who engage in that behavior are unambiguously treated as villains, and they don't fare well. And Patty's acts of vengeance mostly seem heroic, even when they are patently misanthropic. Everybody who ever suffered shunning or scorn at the hands of a high-school social overlord will be raising a fist in solidarity.
