Terrible. Without doubt, the worst TV show I have ever seen. The caracters are weak, mean, virtually unlikable; puppets with no courage or will to fight against their basest instincts and shocking lack of values. The storyline is full of holes. This was actually really uncomfortable to watch.

They had the chance to make an eye opening TV series with some good actors. It honestly felt like watching a BTEC project. The whole series seemed thrown together with story lines introduced and dealt with within a matter of ten minutes before continuing onto another pointless problem in Pattys life. I understand the message trying to be put across but can assure you that there are 101 other ways to do so. I think it’s quite disappointing considering people pay for the extra tv ‘luxury’ of Netflix and are presented with this show. I just really cannot believe it was aired, what for? It wasted hours of life. They pushed people to watch it as many were sceptical at first through watching the trailer. It shows a plus sized teenage girl being bullied for her weight and how life wasn’t so perfect before suddenly becoming ‘skinny and pretty’ and wanting revenge. It is literally the strangest series, she’s plus sized for about 15 minutes throughout the whole thing so the trailer fixating on that was pointless. I thought it was a little insulting to see a stick thin actress put on a ‘fat suit’ to try and portray a plus sized girl. Why would you do that? It just all seemed a bit low budget with Debbie Ryan being the face that sells it, even though this has ruined my perception of the talent I thought she had. PLEASE do not bother with another season, no one cares about the cliffhangers, you tried your best so find another hobby now. Expand

Insatiable is embarrassing, dragging, slow, unfunny, cruel and lacks depth of any kind. To claim it to be dark, edgy, or even satire is an insult to the art-form, which is used to convey social criticism and mock the societal power structures with the guise of clever humor. Clever. Humor.

On the contrary to the common tools used in satire and black comedy, Insatiable entertains its audience with anal cancer, calling people childish names on repeat, and generally using oppressive, mean-spirited language for the giggles. Tranny, whore and fatty are funny words!

Incredibly, the biggest offense of Insatiable is not its lack of depth, wits, or edgy- as a 12-year old boy who watches Pewdiepie would describe it- content. It is simply boring, repetitive and unimaginative. Everything that caused a stir about it in the media is pushed aside for the standard revenge story and sexual innuendos, and when the show tries to cram in a good message, it is completely out of place, and often followed up by another lazy attempt of "edginess".

In conclusion, the audience knows who they are. The rest of us should just go and find some actual quality content to watch.

One of the worse show that I ever watched. The first 5 episodes are not great
but gives you a isea that it will get better. But as the history line progress
It turns into a no sense cruel, unfunny, ant-moral and the list goes on. Some
Seems toward to the final ep made me to feel like vomiting. Just ewwwwww.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everyone wants to excuse this pathetic show with "this is satirical, you don't understand this type of comedy" but this is just TRASH. There are a lot of points that doesn't make make sense.

Netflix sold us on the trailer that this show was about a fat girl who became skinny and started to have revenge against the people who bullied her when this show is truly about an ex fat girl who has the biggest dream of becoming beauty queen, becomes best friends with Magnolia (yes, before they fought about that golden boy, Patty was so desperate to fit in with Magnolia and friends) and becomes girlfriend with the dude that rejected her in a very humiliating way.

This show isn't funny, is ridiculous. And trust me, I had high expectations but this is just BAD.

Your sense of humor has to be very basic to give this show a 10, and if you do trust me, you need more world.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show has a very terrible sense of ethics, which is dangerous because it is geared towards a young adult audience. Spoilers ahead - I found the show's finale very troubling because as a viewer we see the show's "heroine" murder her ex-boyfriend in hot-blood because he believes that she is a bad person. I am not sure if the show wants us to empathize with a hot-blooded murderer - she doesn't belong in a pageant as a model for other young girls, she belongs either in prison or in a mental institution. No amount of bullying or kidnapping or murder attempt gives you the license to kill. What is even weirder is this show showing the same "heroine" feeling guilt for her actions that are completely ethical - killing someone in self-defense or telling an **** that she hopes he dies after he was mean to her. It's like neither the protagonist nor the show's creators have a solid understanding of ethics. And this just keeps expanding when you consider the other characters. Nonnie, who realizes that she may be a lesbian, seems to continuously show unnecessary frustration towards her best friend Patty (the protagonist) because Nonnie kept sacrificing herself and her plans for Patty - but, and here's the critical fact - Nonnie never told Patty that she was making all these sacrifices and Patty never bullied or manipulated the relationship to make Nonnie do anything. It's great that Nonnie is re-evaluating her life choices but her anger towards Patty comes out of nowhere and seems to be a kind of yet another justification for why Patty should feel like a "villain" even though she has done nothing wrong (at least till the last episode). And then there is Bob, a guy who had 2 affairs during his marriage and yet he is the one who continuously plays the victim throughout the series and Patty is shown to be a "villain" because she revealed both affairs to Bob's wife - which ethically is actually the right thing to do. Lastly, Patty is shown to be a terrible person in the initial episodes when she considers torching a guy - but does not actually do so. Thoughts are not actions and terrible thoughts don't make you a terrible person - yet another place where the show misunderstands ethics. But the fact that Patty did spray alcohol on this guy and then recklessly left him soaking in alcohol which later causes him to accidentally catch fire - now that is a crime and the show completely glosses over that one. Basically, if you don't have a solid grasp of ethics, don't watch the show as at best it will leave you confused and re-evaluating your (good) life choices and at worst it may cause you to excuse yourself or others for doing even the most terrible of things like murder. In real life there is a lot of interesting story to tell that not necessarily involve a gay couple, it is not realistic; but even if i don't see the need to always add a gay couple to a good story, in this case i think the couple Bob & Bob made this show representing a very different way to be gay or not or both; the critics reactions make me think that the world has finally understood the gay concept but the same world is still disrupted and disturbed by bisexuality as there is a need to tag, a need for defining in a specific role someone. Neither fluidity is a concept the world is ready to understand nor a normal impulse towards revenge after be bullied. and i'm a straight one, very straight, believe me... but i'm open mind enough to understand others. Humor is kind of black with some tender pink nouances and i liked this too ... too much balck humor is annoying at the end. I immagine there will be not a season 2 and even if the show is not a masterpieces (but few are) there are a lot of shows worse than this to be cancelled . Expand

It doesn't matter if it's based on true life or not, someone should have stopped this misproduced, unfunny, broad mess from reaching the airwaves. Absolutely reprehensible shock value "comedy" that fails to live up to excellent performers like Arden Myrin.

    It's simply terrible.

Lets forget about all the hate during the whole show (fat shaming etc), the main character is first portrayed as a sweet girl and then she suddenly becomes a raging **** The first episode was decent but then it all turned to sh*t.

This show brings reality into humor and makes the show very interesting and makes you want to watch more and more. I love the creativity of every single episode and I hope for a season 2. All throughout the show there are realistic, humorous, and eye catching scenes. I highly recommend watching this show!

Here's what Insatiable is not: an exercise in fat-shaming or any other teenage caste cruelty. Sure, Patty gets mocked and abused, but the kids who engage in that behavior are unambiguously treated as villains, and they don't fare well. And Patty's acts of vengeance mostly seem heroic, even when they are patently misanthropic. Everybody who ever suffered shunning or scorn at the hands of a high-school social overlord will be raising a fist in solidarity.

Insatiable makes “Norbit” feel like a comedic masterpiece, and in 2018, there’s nothing noble about that distinction.

So many problems plague Netflix’s original series it’s only option is the scrap heap, where a few spare parts can be salvaged to sustain other functioning vehicles.
