Summary: Elliot's daughter, Martha, tricks Joseph into coming to look at Gina at home. Gina's condition - motor neurone disease - is worsening but both she and Elliot have so far managed to keep it a secret from Martha.

At home, when Gina comes round, Elliot tells her he is sorry but he couldn't let her go.Meanwhile, Sam is looking after a young boy who has been adopted. Working with him awakens a passion for paediatrics in Sam and it soon becomes clear that there is a secret in his past.
