Robert Powell
Biography: Having worked in repertory theater, he debuted onscreen in 1967 and played soulful, magnetic leads in a number of British films. He starred in the TV series Doomwatch, greatly increasing his fame and boosting his career. He was onscreen infrequently after 1984. For his work in Krzysztof Zanussi's Imperative (1982) he won the Venice Film Festival best actor award.
