hey everyone, the only reason why anyone would rate this low is because they miss the old characters, the ones they grew to love. The only way you will accept this one is if you go in wanting to learn to love these new characters, i know that the world is not the same knowing that claire is dead. Ok so if you're like me you'll actually notice how excellent this new reboot truly is. I watched the old Heroes Millions, and I mean MILLIONS of times! The whole video game thing was overall nasty but knowing the producers of this show, it will be explained with the other mysterious happenings. The first 3 episodes showed foreshadowing and some hints to what will happen just like the last one that everyone loved. It might be at a semi-slow start but in all, I think this show will be better than the last one and should keep going! Expand

Love it!, good to see hero and the chuck actor again. Sucks Claire isn't in it though. I hope it gets more then one season, sick of good shows getting cancelled, they need to find a new way to see viewings other then Neilson ratings.

Excellent reboot! just enjoy the show. Do not waste your time reading critics. Remember that those who gave a "53" to Heroes Reborn were the same that gave Marvel Agents of Shield a "74" and Under the Dome a "73".
HR is big show. It is a serious and ambitious show. The new cast fills in naturally while we wait for the old ones to return.

I'm a fan. I liked the first three years of teh original. It's a spectacle to hear how many different expectations people have and how variable they perceive heroes Reborn fulfilling their expectations.  My tastes run with good writing most of the time.  Reborn is MUCH better written than the original series, more coherent by a long shot.  When you consider this is also primarily a timeI'm a fan. I credit Tim Kring here for redeeming himself in his own mind from the chaotic third act mess the original series got into.

Also of interest is the Supergirl comparison.  The producers speak of trying to emulate the lighter, upbeat Richard Donner/Richard Lester mood of the first two Chris Reeve Supe movies.  The original heroes was a heady mixture of Donner hero-optimism and tragedy as heroes died, killed and/or betrayed their own values and pledges.  Reborn follows up on this theme of the tragic hero, the failed hero, the dying hero and the dead hero even better than the original series.

It's difficult to reproduce a classic, which Heroes truly defines. It survived multiple seasons on a major network with solid ratings as a science fiction series in the age of reality, drama and dark humor action. The good: new "heroes", new concepts, returning characters, more focused general main plot, unexpected twists. The bad: repeat good guys v bad guys theme, reborn but storylineIt's difficult to reproduce a classic, which Heroes truly defines. Overall, it's still creative, fun, sci-fi and Kring has a tough critic: himself. It's entertaining, keeps you waiting for the next episode and happy to see it back on. Think about this: How would you honestly rate Seinfeld, The Sopranos or Miami Vice if they brought them back 5 yrs later?

When Heroes was cancelled in 2010 I was a bit disappointed but thought it was for the best because the show had lost it's edge. When I watched Heroes Reborn I felt that it wasn't as great as season 1 of Heroes(2006) but a resolution to the Heroes universe we all deserved. The best thing about Reborn was the unique storytelling(nor in the first few episodes ofcource).Earlier on the showWhen Heroes was cancelled in 2010 I was a bit disappointed but thought it was for the best because the show had lost it's edge. When I watched Heroes Reborn I felt that it wasn't as great as season 1 of Heroes(2006) but a resolution to the Heroes universe we all deserved. The best thing about Reborn was the unique storytelling(nor in the first few episodes ofcource).Earlier on the show especially the two hour premiere the show suffered from exposition and too much setup without explaining or developing the characters which hurt the show. When people stopped watching Reborn within the first episodes I don't blame them because the characters weren't interesting and The show was clearly having trouble with jumbling up too many characters, but I stuck around and after episode 5 the show got a lot more interesting. Some characters in reborn did really well like Noah Bennett,Hiro Nakumura from Heroes and some new characters. Like Nathan and the villain Erica kravid. As I went deeper with the show the better the storytelling was it begins to fill up some plot holes and questions that the first episode never did and this feels satisfying and the show began to feel like the Heroes of old.The special effects were amazing for a TV budget and seeing some old faces from the old Heroes series made the show even better although at times it relied heavily on Heroes(2006) too much without focusing on it's current characters which hurt the series at times,as there was this one episode  that tried to be similar to an episode of Heroes and failed.Reborn also had an interesting storyline about time travel which was also exciting and a few surprises character changes for some old characters and the final episode did justice to some characters. The best episodes are, episode7,8 and 13 and the worst episodes are Episode 1,2 and 12.So Heroes Reborn was as revolutionary as Heroes but it was a good show within it's own right with good effects, good storytelling and a satisfying conclusion even with the cliffhanger at the end of the show. So from five episodes in I'd say every episode gets better. Of course the game animation wasn't the best ever for Katana girl in video game world. It's a game! Would you expect the whole budget spent on that? Sure there are lots of characters and lots to follow but that's what i think adds to the fun as long as all questions get answered. Give it the ratings so it keeps coming back and overtime I'm sure we will see old favorites plus so much more. Give it a chance to live or it's gone for good. Hey while your all at it send messages to Milo and Zachary asking them nicely to make Cameo appearances. We deserve that if nothing else. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It started off really badly but after 6th episode I got the impression that it might pay off. I think that Heroes suffers more as it tries to give superhero comic universe vibe. Now that many useless characters are gone; I think Heroes will have more focus. Expand

Interesting new characters but not the same charm as the original characters of the first show. Its still entertaining enough to watch but needs a better storyline than the same Xmen style story.

Heroes Reborn would have to do something drastically different to distinguish itself in 2015, but all it seems to offer so far is more of the same.

Heroes Reborn is in a curious middle ground where it seems to be giving both too much and too little exposition.

Despite that all-too-familiar set-up, Heroes Reborn gets off to a promising start, with some fresh, sympathetic characters and a gentle introduction baited with a little mythology from the original to keep those fans on the hook.
