Summary: Matt’s good friend Ab Butler sends a note to him saying he’s laying out near Cotton Well with a bullet in his back. Matt and Chester go to find him and bring him back to Dodge. Ab tells Matt he’s got to stay hid but won’t tell him who it was that shot him. All he’ll tell Matt is that he didn’t do anything wrong.
