Summary: Having gone as far as the semi-finals, Germany and Portugal played for bronze and pride in their last match of the 2006 World Cup finals at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart.
Both sides were without some of their key players, Germany's trio of Arnie Friedrich, Per Mertesacker and skipper, Michael Ballack were out due to injuries.Having gone as far as the semi-finals, Germany and Portugal played for bronze and pride in their last match of the 2006 World Cup finals at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart.
