The series begins with a familiar air the first time you travel to a new country. Elegant, stunning, and wonderful.

Apart from the French in general very stereotypical (I lived in France and I can guarantee that people are not so unpleasant), I found the series really cute, funny and I hope in a second season

very nice to have this emotional escape in a series so nice to watch, there’s no way I can’t give it a high score.

It brings light, in a year with so many misfortunes happening, but the critic wants just that, disgrace. Mutilation, psychological terror, the classic American shooting of action films, and the French criticized for showing a perfect Paris, without any terrorism and other problems, but the focus of the series is to feel good.

It’s got a sparkling retro rom-com feel with regular montages of Parisian sites and Collins’ sweetly charming, continually-effervescent attitude. The supporting cast also boasts an assortment of entertaining types. Since it’s France, everyone’s outfits are fabulous. There’s no question that this is a signature Star project, which means it’s a lite confection with a winning cast and enjoyable situations. Expand

I love Emily In Paris so much watched the whole season in just one day, happy it got another season. Lily Collins and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu's performances were outstanding. The costumes and cinematography were beautiful. I just could watch this show all day, it is so funny and makes me so happy.

The warm and goofy and topical camaraderie of that show [“Sex and the City”] is nowhere apparent here. Nor are any laughs. There are no actual laugh lines here, just lines that let you know they were supposed to be funny. It is, in essence, a romantic picture postcard comedy show without any comedy (or much romance for that matter).

“Emily in Paris” is like scrolling through Instagram. It’s a great way to waste time looking at pretty pictures with no depth, taken by beautiful people with the ability to do and call it a job. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’ll be for you. If you’re thinking this is the second coming of “Sex and the City,” sorry, no dice.

It’s TV chick lit, a rom-com in a foreign location where nothing bad ever happens and the cute protagonist gets laid a lot on her way to having it all. But the complicating thing about Emily in Paris—the best thing about it really, the thing that turns it from a trifle people enjoy into a curiosity they enjoy insulting—is how brittle its protagonist is.
