Summary: Gail and David return to the cobbles, having concocted a story about Joe's whereabouts - he's apparently landed a job fitting a kitchen in an old people's home and won't be back for weeks. Tina sees Gail and David as they arrive and quizzes them about Joe. They stick to their story and she appears convinced.

Over the first hurdle, Gail and David let themselves into No. 8 and are shocked to find Nick there. He explains that he's lost his job in Nottingham so he's back on the Street for a while, which sends Gail into a panic. An anxious David tells her that if she doesn't pull herself together, he's going to the police himself.
There's light relief for Tina when Jason gives her a Valentine's Day present - his divorce papers from Sarah. Tina's thrilled that he's a single man again and even more delighted when he pops the question!
Meanwhile, George offers to pay for Peter to go into rehab but Peter tells him that he doesn't want his charity - he just wants his son back. Peter bangs on George and Eve's door, demanding that Simon return home with him. But when Simon refuses, Peter breaks down and finally admits that he needs help.
Dev and Sunita panic about how they're going to maintain the pretence of being happily married in front of Grishma and Upma - especially when they realise that they'll have to sleep in the same bedroom. Dev's pleased, but not too impressed with the idea of an airbed! … Expand
