    Criteria 1: The pilot is funny. That's all I ask. The outrageous stuff is lots of fun, but there's also some subtle stuff, like how subservient and yet self-serving Blunt's staff is. They can keep doing what they've done so well so far for quite a while and keep me entertained. I liked it. Try it, maybe you will too.

    Really funny to see Stewart in a role like this. He is terrific as is the premise, in general. Only concern is if this will get old, fast. Have to give it a bit of time but so far, so good.

    Patrick Stewart as Walter Blunt (a news personality with drooping ratings for a major network) reminds me, in tone, of his voice acting for American Dad. Authority and gravitas mixed with an amusing level of insanity. His manservant, Harry (Adrian Scarborough), evokes a somewhat more competent version of Baldrick from Black Adder or Woodhouse from Archer. The rest of the actors so far arePatrick Stewart as Walter Blunt (a news personality with drooping ratings for a major network) reminds me, in tone, of his voice acting for American Dad. Authority and gravitas mixed with an amusing level of insanity. The rest of the actors so far are essentially props, but I am quite amused by the concept of of a TV personality making a descent into madness and senility work for them.     Genuinely funny, and all except for the last episode of the season, which imho was unnecessarily zany, a whole lotta brilliant in a "fairyland wish of Los Angeles sort of way", where jealousy doesn't exist, and everything is just pretty groovy

    What’s funny is whatever makes you laugh. I laughed a lot and was smiling the rest of the time. Consistently bright, weird and witty; Blunt talk is a great showcase for Patrick Stewart’s remarkable comic talents. There is no pretense of realism here. It’s outlandish, goofy, even slapstick but there is a warmth amongst the characters even when they succumb to the worst in their ownWhat’s funny is whatever makes you laugh.     Stewart and Scarborough make Blunt Talk worth watching, as they’re an offbeat co-dependent pair who clearly have great affection and respect for each other, and watching Stewart embrace Walter’s often loony behavior is a treat.
