Jun 29, 2015I watched most of the first episode. About 2/3 of the way in, I reluctantly decided that this is just an unwatchable mess. It made me sad because I think Natasha Leggero is one of the funniest people on the planet and I was really looking forward to this series. Oh well, better luck next time.

Jul 21, 2015Don't listen to the negative reviews. This show is absurdist humor at its finest. Perfectly parodying Kardashians and Downton Abbey, with a fantastic cast and hilarious results. Michael Ian Black as Peepers is my favorite thus far. Can't wait for more episodes!

Jul 23, 2015This show is not absurd, not funny, not well written...I could go on like this for a while. A pile of dull bad jokes and terrible acting jobs. Do yourselves a favour: Don't waste your time on this.

Sep 19, 2015One of the funniest comedy series in a while. It really tries to offend everyone leaving you with absurd jokes, statements and actions. All in all I was very entertained by this show. Can't wait for season 2.

Another Period also skewers gender politics (and classism and the cult of celebrity), but the jokes are not particularly charged, aiming for--and granted, usually reaching--bawdiness, not brilliance.
-
The humor is quick and smart, often poking fun at the conventions of period dramas and the perceived privilege of the wealthy.
-
Another Period won't be to everyone's taste, but at least it knows it's a spoof and gleefully embraces the genre.
