Summary: After being fired, the girls go out and try to get new jobs, while Mel is longing to have his diner back but the new owner refuses to sell it back to him. This leads Mel to open an eatery in Alice's apartment, which quickly catches the attention of the local police. Meanwhile, Flo, Alice and Vera hatch a scheme to try to get Mel back his diner.
