A Discovery of Witches can get a little bogged down with all the political manoeuvring and lore, and earlier parts of this new series do drag on a little in this manner. ... It was an interesting series but the last season was a bit rushed and not quite as tight as the 2nd season. The books were fun and one of the top fantasy series (especially since it was finished).
