The lack of any real multiplayer mode online is the biggest let down of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games on the DS as it removes the biggest element of the game - the very fact that it’s a party game.

Trace Memory is an adequate title in its genre that manages to have a decent plot with likable characters, but its presentation is notably bare, as is its gameplay -- save for a handful of interesting DS-related puzzles.

"Excite Bike: World Rally" has great controls and is a successful upgrade to the original version. The graphics are crisp, the new controls option is easy to pick up, and it offers unlockable content and the track editor to keep players coming back.

In a platform where there are hundreds of puzzle games, Neves manages to stand out with a spot on price and is just enjoyable and addictive.

This game may not appeal to modern gamers that haven’t played any of these before, but even with the lack of arranged soundtracks and versus modes, this is a must have for fans of the series that are missing any of these games from their collection, or simply want to have them all on one disc. Short load times and smooth play control make for an enjoyable experience at a fair price.

Currently it’s the only semi decent F1 racer on the market, and for those that need to fulfill that sensation of rocketing though Monte Carlo, it’s a good surrogate until a 2010 game comes out.

Dedicated, hardcore strategy buffs will likely find it rewarding to work their minds through the seemingly impossible odds, but gamers at large will probably just find it to be frustrating.

Shiren the Wanderer is the most brutal of the above games in every sense, with severe punishments for slight miscalculations.

Overall an enjoyable title for most, and definite must-have for Potter fans. Some more casual gamers may find the game boring after only a short time.

An outstanding effort for an independent third party. It raises the bar for graphics, controls, and online gameplay for FPS on the Wii.

This is the kind of game that makes Wiiware a worthwhile feature, and shows that good hardcore games can be made for the system in any size.

Sonic Team should really just ditch Sonic games. They are onto something much better with NiGHTS and with a little more polish and tightening up, this series could become something truly magnificent.

A solid on-rails shooter, although somewhat archaic, it’s still very enjoyable. Mindlessly shooting terrorists without having to think it always a great option, with the only flaw being the price.

All in all, I found The Dark Spire to be very engrossing and enjoyable.

Had Nitro been given online capabilities the score would have been higher just on merit. But the lack of it, coupled with the “meh” presentation and production values makes this Need for Speed a hot rod with nothing impressive under the hood.

Mario Super Sluggers attempts to bring the over-the-top fun of Mario Kart to the game of baseball, but instead brings chaos and confusion. The control schemes are broken and the roster is mostly lame. In the end, Mario Super Sluggers does more to damage the reputation of the Wii Remote then promote its functionality.

The promise of its ideals are lost to mediocre development, dragged down by a lack of guidance and refinement.

Don't even bother with the Wii Zapper, it's a gimmick. Link's Crossbow Training is an average shooter which provides short bursts of enjoyment, but overall is a fairly basic game with a few highlights.

If the game was going to be this short, then it should have been made a tad bit more difficult to balance out the lack of content.

For many players, the fact that the incredibly simple premise of drawing is entirely tainted by the need to spend many hours on the game may be off putting. However, for those people who have the time to put more than seven to ten hours into a game, Doodle Hex is incredibly rewarding. With a rich and fulfilling battle system, and an interesting (albeit slightly contrived) storyline, is entertaining. This title is a must for all fans of anything challenging or difficult.

Although dungeon crawlers can be irksome, the save function is a saving grace with Orcs & Elves as it makes playing the game much more fun.

If a player can look past the occasionally spotty visuals, the unusually long load times, and a complicated narrative, they can find an excellent RPG experience for the Wii.

The aesthetics of the game are charming, although bland. The graphics are nothing special and the music is calm and forgettable. Tons of words and a decent handful of mini-games (multiplayer versions included) might suffice for a casual quick-play and you might actually learn something.

Samba De Amigo is a welcome return to a Dreamcast classic, with tons of modes and content, as well as new songs for download. This game is well worth the price of admission. Only the bipolar difficulty and tricky IR sensitivity keep this from being the perfect Samba De Amigo experience.

Personally I feel the title could have benefited greatly with a little more polish, but for its target audience, the faults are far less important. If you are a parent or sibling looking for a wholesome and educational title to buy, this is your game.

Roogoo Attack! fixes a number of problems from the Wii version, but the core game just is not compelling enough to really warrant a purchase. The puzzle genre is well represented on the Nintendo DS, and a title this basic simply belongs on the DSi shop, and not taking up space at retail in in your DS game slot.

Its presentation and decent execution put it beyond mediocrity, but its fumbling inconsistency, repetition, and lack of defined flair fail to truly set it apart from others of its kind.

The title feels like a throwback to some of the older platforming games from the SNES era; however, the length of the title it’s biggest flaw.
