Competitive real-time strategy games don't get much better or more accessible than Swords and Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon. The delightful sights and sounds and satisfying gameplay make it a must-have RTS.

It may not be the main event in your next local multiplayer gathering but Toast Time: Smash Up! is definitely worthy of at least being part of a rapid fire gaming playlist with pals.

The premise of a beat 'em up with ninja cats is solid but Claws of Furry's messy gameplay simply doesn't allow its concept to shine.

Many indie developers try to emulate classic games and few actually succeed at it. Coffee Crisis nails 16-bit brawlers perfectly and it's great fun with a friend. So, brew up a couple cups of joe and get ready to smash in some alien skulls.

With so many better tennis and indie sports games on the market, it's hard to recommend Timber Tennis: Versus. The flat and overly simplistic gameplay just doesn't slice it. Tennis puns; gotta love 'em...

When it comes to volleyball games, Super Volley Blast is definitely the best one that I ever played. Its basic yet satisfying gameplay, enjoyable presentation, and large assortment of content bump, set, and spike it for the win.

Of all the Touhou games that I've played so far, Gensokyo Defenders remains one of the best due to its unique and addictive gameplay. It's definitely rough around the edges but there's still a ton of fun to be had waging war with these charming ladies.

R-Type Dimensions has been around for almost a decade and this EX edition doesn't really add anything substantial to the compilation. That being said, these are still two of the best shoot 'em ups ever made.

As a compilation of the arcade and Sega Saturn versions of a shoot 'em up from the mid-'90s, Game Tengoku CruisinMix holds up impressively well. Here's hoping we get to see a port of GunBare! Game Tengoku 2 soon.

If Darksiders III spent a bit longer in development then it would have been almost on par with the previous games in the series. Its action is intense and the characters are phenomenal but the amount of glitches is definitely hard to ignore.

Squishies is one of the most innovative and clever VR games that I've ever played. However, here's hoping that its developers iron out a lot of its shortcomings soon because as it is, it can wear out the patience of a saint.

Turf Wars is a substantial step down from The Heist as its unvaried and brief campaign along with its stereotypical story make it an easily forgettable piece of content. That being said, there are some redeeming qualities but they are too few and far between.

If you want to rob trains in a video game then Express Raider is a solid choice. Its old-school controls, varied gameplay modes, and intense action make it more fun than robbing trains in Red Dead Redemption 2; whatever that is...

Shoot Out has a generic name and what's here is exactly what you'd expect. However, it takes a lot of practice to be able to dispatch enemies before they shoot you which offers a steep yet rewarding learning curve.

A competitive twin-stick shooter with matches that play like Nidhogg is such a fantastic idea for a game. When you factor in the awesome Data East characters and stages, you're left with a nostalgia-fueled funfest that feels fresh and exciting.

I'm a little disappointed with this first pack of DLC given that it's so short, the tomb isn't very interesting, and the two new modes are quite similar. However, I love that co-op mode is introduced as it's definitely the most promising addition. Here's hoping for more interesting scenery and lengthier challenges in future DLC packs.

If Knowledge is Power: Decades featured interesting and challenging questions and more steadily-paced gameplay then it would have been a solid trivia game. Instead, it plays it way too safe and the end result offers nothing more than a standard quiz show.

Pokemon: Let's Go offers a new and exciting adventure while the Poke Ball Plus controller is one of the coolest devices that I've played with in a long time. So, if you're a fan of the franchise or just want some lighthearted fun then this pack is worth a purchase.

Gliding around while shooting ink to turn enemies into platforms is indeed fun but Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San is still an old-school 2D platformer that could have done much more to stand out in such a crowded genre.
