In defiance of a time when many game series are opting to mature, Bayonetta 3 raises a giant middle finger and that's awesome. Believe it or not, it's even more over-the-top than you'd expect so strap on some high heels and get ready for some action.- Video Chums

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy is a fun and interesting take on roguelikes and survival games with a colossal amount of things to do and I know that a lot of people thoroughly enjoy it. However, there are just too many problems for me to overlook, especially the overbearing load times on PS4.- Video Chums

Sophstar is a good vertical shmup that's bursting with many unique controllable ships so it makes for quite a varied and fulfilling arcade shooting experience. It may have rather generic stages but its overall sense of non-stop action still puts it on my recommended list.- Video Chums

If you ever feel like a little mouse as you try your best yet you mostly go by unnoticed then The Spirit and the Mouse will surely connect with you as much as it did with me. Plus, it's one cute and laidback tale that's impressively well put-together.- Video Chums

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is one of the better entries in the annual series although it still doesn't manage to reach the heights of the first installment. Perhaps we'll see a day when Jackbox Games will capture lightning in a bottle like that again; I sure hope we do.- Video Chums

Maze Blaze is the bee's knees. From its unconventional structure to its strategic shooting, I had a great time blasting at robots while watching the life slowly drain from their once-neon eyes. It could use a bit of a tune-up, though; as well as much more content.- Video Chums

Fueled Up is one of the best co-op games that I've ever played thanks to its high-pressure gameplay which is so stressful that it's hilarious. Throw in oodles of variety and a bunch of oddball characters and you're left with one great ship-fixing adventure.- Video Chums

I'm happy to say that Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is the best game in the series so far. Whether you're a nostalgic '90s kid or a modern-day scamp, you're bound to have a tubular time racing with all of these familiar chums.- Video Chums

Although it has a lot of competition, Slap City manages to claim victory in the ever-growing arena of games inspired by Smash Bros. With its phenomenally fun gameplay and solo content that'll keep you having fun for dozens of hours, I highly recommend this wacky fighter.- Video Chums

After over 10 years since its initial release, it's impressive how well Wizorb has held up in all of its awesomely retro glory. For a simple Breakout experience, you can't get much better than this so I recommend it to anyone who enjoys breaking bricks.- Video Chums

Youropa is a stand-out indie that offers a memorable unravelling game world that's full of variety and hidden treats. It may take things a bit slowly but the fact that it's something very different is commendable, especially because it does everything very well.- Video Chums

XIII is a linear first-person shooter with a neat graphical style that offers simple fun akin to a game that belongs in an arcade. However, FPS veterans may be put off due to its linearity and general lack of depth.- Video Chums

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is yet another colourful and adorable rhythm game in an excellent series. Its Great Drum Toy War mode helps shake things up and the online and local multiplayer components are genuinely a great deal of fun.- Video Chums

Atari Mania offers a solid collection of microgames that are a lot more enjoyable if you're a fan of the classic arcade games represented in them. With that in mind, the overall experience could have been smoothed out a lot more to match its wily moustachioed competitor.- Video Chums

Dragon Prana is clearly the best entry in KEMCO's Dragon series with its refined presentation and well thought-out character classes and progression systems. If you're looking for your next retro-inspired RPG obsession then this can very well be it.- Video Chums

Alfred Hitchcock: Vertigo offers a story with many twists that I didn't see coming. If you can look past the general lack of polish and you're in the mood to relax and play something with little gameplay, you'll enjoy your time watching the story of Ed Miller unfold.- Video Chums

It's cool that Valkyrie Elysium exists given the series' sporadic history although I wish it offered a lot more to sink your teeth into. Sure, the combat is fun, especially when you exploit enemies' weaknesses but it definitely overstays its welcome after a handful of hours.- Video Chums

With so many similar and far superior games out there, it's tough to recommend Moonscars with its tedious game world and annoying gameplay. It does some things exceptionally well, though, but these aspects definitely don't make up for all of its shortcomings.- Video Chums

RAILGRADE is a superb sim that acts more like a logic puzzle game in many of its more elaborate scenarios. So, if you enjoy tinkering with routes and managing resources for optimal efficiency then you'll have a great time with this choo-choo.- Video Chums

Hokko Life takes the Animal Crossing formula and builds on it with additional gameplay elements and an innovative in-game clock. Its gameplay is addictive and there's a lot of fun to be had, especially if you enjoy crafting. So, if you're looking for a rewarding alternative to the Nintendo classic albeit with more to do on any given day then you should definitely pick it up.- Video Chums

Ankora: Lost Days is a colourful survival adventure game where you'll explore a new planet and use your smarts and tools to unblock obstacles in your path. If you're looking for a simplistic adventure with a fun twist on other games in the genre then pick this up but just don't expect a ton of depth when it comes to gameplay and anticipate getting a little lost on occasion, too.- Video Chums

Game Type DX may be a silly take on the awful ad-heavy Xbox 360 dashboard but it's also a solid shoot 'em up that makes achieving high scores a ton of fun. A contemporary sequel would provide more bite, though, so I hope that one is on its way.- Video Chums
