Togges is a game that'll stay with me for a long time due to its uniqueness and cuteness; kind of like Wattam or Ribbit King and it's just as weird, too, but in the best sense of the word. If you like distinct gaming experiences as well then I whole-fartedly recommend it.

River City Girls 2 does everything that I wanted it to and a little bit more. Needless to say, if you enjoyed the original then you'll love this as well so those looking for more silly beat 'em up fun will have a blast with Misako and Kyoko in their latest wacky adventure.

I thoroughly enjoyed SAMURAI MAIDEN's combat with its wealth of skills and charming cast of lovely ladies. However, it does have its issues, especially if you want to take photos of the characters' panties because you'll end up incredibly disappointed.

As a fan of the original Joe and Mac, I must say that NEW Joe & Mac - Caveman Ninja is a huge disappointment as it features frustrating difficulty, floaty gameplay, and it's even missing some core elements that made the classic arcade game stand out as special.

Your enjoyment of Astronite will almost entirely rely on your patience for retreading the same paths again and again while taking unfair damage from hazards that blend in with the scenery and enemies that shoot much further than you can. Good grief!

Wave 3 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass is filled with superb tracks that are great fun to race on. It's wonderful to see the level of quality remain unwavering with the release of these 2 cups; plus, Merry Mountain will surely get you in the Christmas spirit.

As a long-time fan of the series, I'm delighted that FRONT MISSION 1st: Remake is available for Switch as it's great fun and looks superb to boot. With that being said, it's definitely not for everyone and I can easily see modern gamers being perplexed by this SRPG classic.

Need for Speed Unbound is a fun racer with some new event types and an unusual yet undeniably attractive visual style. However, it doesn't do a ton to set itself apart from other racers that are currently out there and its story mode can be quite limiting.

Pokemon Scarlet is the most immersive Pokemon installment yet thanks to its seamless open-world, heartfelt story, an interesting new battle mechanic, and fun raid battles. Whether you're in it to speedrun, for the competitive online scene, or you just want to catch 'em all; Scarlet and Violet have you covered. Let's just hope that it'll be patched soon.

RWBY: Arrowfell is a solid stage-based Metroidvania-lite that offers enough 2D fun to please most fans of the genre. With that in mind, a lot could be done to make it a more fulfilling experience when it comes to its stiff gameplay and underwhelming bosses.

I had a very good time with Trifox and its large variety of weapons and abilities to work with. It can be rough around the edges at times but there's still no denying that there's something special here that more games could take inspiration from.

Playing Ship of Fools will have you intimidated at first and shortly after the fun starts to sink in, you'll realise just how repetitive it all is. There are still good times to be had, though, so you may only want to take short excursions on this ship.

The Knight Witch is a beautiful game that holds a lot of promise with its blend of twin-stick shooting and Metroidvania exploration. I just wish that its gameplay was finer-tuned to not be as clunky and disconnected as it currently is.

Syberia - The World Before brings the series to current gen consoles with wonderful inclusions such as an ornate city that's a joy to explore. Plus, playing as a mysterious woman in a war-torn country from decades ago then swapping to Kate Walker in more recent times makes for an interesting story. So, if you're an adventure game fan and have some patience, there's a lot to admire and enjoy here.

If you love grid-based SRPGs as much as I do then you owe it to yourself to play Tactics Ogre: Reborn. It may have laid much of the genre's foundation but it's impressive just how well it has held up over the years. It's still rather beautiful, too.

I wanted to enjoy NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 a lot more than I did because I love retro game compilations. However, with a line-up that's sure to perplex and bore as opposed to entertain; it's tough to recommend this collection.

Lunistice provides a wonderful trip back to the golden era of 3D platformers and it features an impressive amount of replay value. It certainly isn't perfect but if you want to enjoy a solid throwback to the PS1 period then definitely give it a go.

Sonic Frontiers is obviously a love-it-or-hate-it sort of game so thankfully, I love it. The fact that there are just so many fun things that you can do at any given time makes my brain happy and I'm looking forward to a sequel. Please make it happen, Sega.

Garfield Lasagna Party is an overall fun party game with an impressive collection of entertaining mini-games. Of course, there are some clunkers in the mix but if you can avoid those, you and your feline friends will certainly have a yummy feast of multiplayer treats.

With delightful character art and simplistic gameplay that you can chill out with, Silver Nornir offers some positive qualities. However, if you're looking for a more immersive experience then perhaps play something like Miden Tower or Fairy Elements instead.

HARVESTELLA is a thoroughly enjoyable JRPG with farm management for when you want some downtime after exploring its elaborate dungeons. The fact that you can take your time going through the story and managing your farm means that the pacing is controlled by you so it never gets dull. As long as you enjoy RPGs as much as you do farming, this is a great game that you'll absolutely love.

When it gets down to it, DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS has a clever premise that makes its gameplay occasionally fun but that often feels like the stars have aligned because otherwise, it's a generally repetitive and monotonous affair.

As a long-time gamer who's stuck in the past, I must say that Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is one of the best compilations ever produced. From its expansive museums to its wide variety of classic games and hidden gems, it really is the cat's pajamas.

Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom is an enjoyable sequel with attractive graphics, a heartwarming story, and the addition of an impressively useful buddy system. It's got some quality of life improvements, too, which is great. In the end, fans of Story of Seasons will have a lot of fun tending to their animals and crops while unlocking silly gadgets with Doraemon and friends.
