Star Ocean: The Divine Force successfully reinvigorates the RPG franchise with an interesting story and characters as well as beautiful settings. D.U.M.A. also makes it fun to zoom around the map and fly through the air on the battlefield. Although the graphics are hit and miss and there are some quality of life improvements needed, Star Ocean: The Divine Force is a JRPG that's definitely worth your time.

LEGO Bricktales masterfully combines rewarding exploration with clever construction-based puzzles to make for a highly entertaining formula. The controls can be annoying when you're building things but once you see it all come together, you'll have a great time.

Prodeus is a top-notch old-school first-person shooter that takes what made the classics great and amplifies it with fitting modernizations.

I enjoyed my time with The Pinball Wizard but it's certainly lacking when it comes to variety and excitement. If you decide to play it, keep in mind that it's best to play it as a game to relax with and not as some sort of skill-testing challenge.

Stopping time and reaping souls is all in a day's work for a frog and this little platformer showcases that in a somewhat enjoyable way.

It's tough to recommend Splatter - Zombiecalypse Now, especially seeing as there are dozens of much better twin-stick zombie shooters.

SIGNALIS does a decent job of offering a retro survival horror experience yet it doesn't do much to make it stand out from the crowd.

With its unique gameplay and superb audio, Yomawari: Lost in the Dark offers a solid albeit repetitious fear-fest that fits in 2 dimensions.

It may feature a distinct premise yet White Day: A Labyrinth Named School manages to become tedious thanks to its repetitious setting.

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia is basically a rudimentary version of Dark Souls where you play as a stick man but at least it's funny.

If The Darkest Tales' gameplay was tightened up a great deal, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it as it has quite a unique premise.

ARKANOID - ETERNAL BATTLE is a superb modern adaptation of the iconic arcade game that will easily appeal to newcomers and long-time fans such as myself. I'm definitely looking forward to playing it against actual players instead of just the AI.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars offers an enjoyable formula with exploration and combat that'll keep you hooked as you forge your way ahead. With that in mind, it could certainly use a clearer sense of direction even if it was implemented via an accessibility option.

In defiance of a time when many game series are opting to mature, Bayonetta 3 raises a giant middle finger and that's awesome. Believe it or not, it's even more over-the-top than you'd expect so strap on some high heels and get ready for some action.

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy is a fun and interesting take on roguelikes and survival games with a colossal amount of things to do and I know that a lot of people thoroughly enjoy it. However, there are just too many problems for me to overlook, especially the overbearing load times on PS4.

Sophstar is a good vertical shmup that's bursting with many unique controllable ships so it makes for quite a varied and fulfilling arcade shooting experience. It may have rather generic stages but its overall sense of non-stop action still puts it on my recommended list.

If you ever feel like a little mouse as you try your best yet you mostly go by unnoticed then The Spirit and the Mouse will surely connect with you as much as it did with me. Plus, it's one cute and laidback tale that's impressively well put-together.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is one of the better entries in the annual series although it still doesn't manage to reach the heights of the first installment. Perhaps we'll see a day when Jackbox Games will capture lightning in a bottle like that again; I sure hope we do.

Maze Blaze is the bee's knees. From its unconventional structure to its strategic shooting, I had a great time blasting at robots while watching the life slowly drain from their once-neon eyes. It could use a bit of a tune-up, though; as well as much more content.

Fueled Up is one of the best co-op games that I've ever played thanks to its high-pressure gameplay which is so stressful that it's hilarious. Throw in oodles of variety and a bunch of oddball characters and you're left with one great ship-fixing adventure.

I'm happy to say that Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is the best game in the series so far. Whether you're a nostalgic '90s kid or a modern-day scamp, you're bound to have a tubular time racing with all of these familiar chums.

After over 10 years since its initial release, it's impressive how well Wizorb has held up in all of its awesomely retro glory. For a simple Breakout experience, you can't get much better than this so I recommend it to anyone who enjoys breaking bricks.
