Blacksea Odyssey is a rather challenging game for me to score because it's filled with both wonderful highs and demoralizing lows. Despite my criticisms, I can still safely say that my overall experience with it was mostly positive.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed remains a strange game but one that's compelling and rewarding. It's excellent that this Wii classic is this enjoyable all of these years after its initial release and it looks great this time around to boot.

Beyond a Steel Sky is an impressive adventure game with an intriguing story and a fun hacking system that adds a layer of challenge. As you play, you'll constantly wonder what situation you'll face next and what chain of events you'll have to complete while you're there.

Steel Rain X is definitely an ambitious title and it provides a satisfying blend of gameplay styles for the most part. That being said, you need a lot of patience to fully understand the simulation component and the shooting doesn't quite do enough to stay fresh.

Yoshi's Crafted World is one of the cutest games that you'll ever play but it's incredibly easy to the point where it becomes unengaging. That being said, the amount of variety and replay value is top-notch and that makes the familiar gameplay really shine.

Brave Dungeon is a fabulous portable RPG set in the delightful world of The Legend of Dark Witch. If you're a fan of the series or just want a simple dungeon exploration game on the go then downloading it should be a no-brainer.

As prolific game reviewer A.J. Maciejewski once said: "Give a witch a gun and she'll shoot for a day; teach a witch to shoot and she'll pulverize forest creatures for a lifetime." In other words, Trigger Witch is a ridiculously fun game that manages to remain enjoyable for hours upon hours due to its reliance on satisfying gameplay, colourful well-animated visuals, and rewarding upgrades.

While definitely rough around the edges, I thoroughly enjoyed Penny's Big Breakaway. There is a lot to get out of its levels whether it's a faster time, higher score, or all of its collectibles but I don't even need a specific reason to play through them again because controlling Penny is entertaining enough in and of itself. If you're looking for a fun and fast 3D platformer then look no further.

I love when indie games offer something unique and special and Going Under certainly does with its clever premise, striking style, and supremely rewarding roguelike structure and beat 'em up gameplay. If only real internships could be this fun.

Despite its inferior controls, Lara Croft GO on PlayStation is still a very pleasant experience. The graphics are colourful and appealing, the soundtrack is minimalist and relaxing, and the whole thing's addictive enough to make you want to keep plugging away at its tougher stages until you beat them. Overall, it's a good feeling to be puzzle-solving in Tomb Raider again.

Ruinverse is bursting with a charming cast of characters in an easy-to-follow story and its campaign is filled with old-school RPG fun. The end result is a rewarding albeit sometimes disappointingly unchallenging adventure that you'll ultimately be glad you went on.

Steel Seed is a delightful surprise as its blend of stealth, action, puzzles, and some of the best stage designs in the genre make it stand out as an exceptional experience. Even with its obvious shortcomings, I recommend playing this gem for sure.

Although the complete lack of multiplayer is a significant missed opportunity, challenging the various modes that Tetris Effect has to offer is an absolute joy. When you factor in the mind-blowing visuals and music, you're left with one unique take on an iconic puzzler.

It took a long time for Grim Guardians: Demon Purge to grow on me but once it did, I became hooked thanks to its assortment of clever abilities and oodles of secrets to discover. So, if you long for the return of old-school Castlevania then I'm sure you'll enjoy this.

Moonlighter has something to offer for casual players, completionists, and even speedrunners. Dungeons can be beat in ten minutes which is great if you don't have much time on your hands. There's also a huge variety of achievements to collect, ranging from defeating the bosses to beating the game in under ten hours to creating every weapon plus a surprising amount of hidden achievements, too. It makes me wonder: how many secrets are in Moonlighter that I don't yet know about? There's a lot to uncover.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a must-play for any fan of the franchise. Although it doesn't quite have the narrative cohesion of Mafia II, it still offers a memorable and gripping story that's set in a gorgeous virtual adaptation of 1930s America.

Possessor(s) is one of the most unconventional Metroidvanias that I've played thanks to its visceral dystopian world and focus on equipment-based combat that rewards experimentation, practice, and patience much more than brute force. Now, that's clever and quite cool indeed.
