Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the definitive Mario Kart 8 experience. The question is, should you buy this game if you already own the game for the Wii U? Not necessarily. If you don't care for the revamped battle mode, new characters and all the DLC then by all means, don't buy this game. But, if you do care about these things or you simply don't own the game and want the best Mario Kart game ever created anywhere you want, this is the game for you.

I don't think Metaphor Refantazio is only the best game Atlus ever made, but it is definitely my game of the year at this point. It brings a lot of improvements to their JRPG formula which begs the question, how will they out do themselves in Persona 6?

Simply put, you are looking at the first next-gen game to come in 2020. Microsoft Flight Simulator is probably the most ambitious, grand and awe-inspiring game of the year - sometimes to it's own detriment.

Tekken 8 is an example of a game living up to it's own hype. With a fantastic roster of warriors, amazing single and multi-player modes, great online connectivity and incredible graphics and sound, Tekken 8 solidifies itself as one of the best in the business and an excellence of execution.

I believe this is the first time a Nintendo Switch version of a game is without any shadow of a doubt, the best version you can get of said game. It took its sweet time, but boy - was it worth the wait.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is a game that checks all the boxes for me in a game of its style and is currently my game of the year, it has an engaging battle system that I enjoy, its world setting is interesting, the cast of characters and the story are interesting, and I don't wish for it to even end.

Donkey Kong Bananza is without a doubt the true launch game for the Nintendo Switch 2. It's a very fun and super satisfying game that will give you many hours of endless enjoyment featuring excellent destruction mechanics, a cute storyline and huge amounts of things to collect. At the same time, it's not a perfect execution, being hurt mainly by a lack of polish when it comes to performance and annoying camera issues alongside a distinct sense of lack of challenge, a collection of negative features that manages to somewhat cloud the overall experience.

Go play one of the most addicting Roguelite games in the last couple of years, and don't you dare say that the gaming industry lacks creativity and fun ideas. Much like in the beginning of 2023, the indie scene is outdoing itself.

With an addictive and rewarding gameplay, great multiplayer aspect, good writing and a huge amount of content, this is quite literally the best Animal Crossing has ever been.

The year is 2025 and I get to say we're blessed to play Silksong right now after the long wait, it is very well made, looks amazing, plays well, and even if I didn't lose any rage playing it (yet), it is definitely far more challenging than it's predecessor.

Split Fiction is a good game, even a very good one - it's full of quality platforming challenges and great boss battles, but above all this stands a shallow and uninspired storyline that manages to weigh down the overall experience. Still, with the right friend, it's a lovable and terribly fun experience, which will undoubtedly put a smile on your face.

The PC Version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is the ultimate version to experience the game with, deeming the PlayStation 5 Pro unnecessary, however, the game still suffers from some technical issues, especially if you are not on a high end PC.

A great new version of a great game. The graphical aspect of this remaster takes a backseat to some excellent additions to the gameplay, and nice bonuses for fans of the original PS4 classic.

2023 didn't really need a game that good. It was already a banger of a year for video games. But here we are, with Dave the Diver being one of the most fun, fulfilling, wholesome, and sometime downright beautiful games that came out this year.

Xbox, Bethesda and most importantly, Tango Gameworks, came out swinging, with an absolutely fantastic game, that manages to blend between the Character Action and Rhythm game genres without missing a beat (pun definitely intended). This is a strong contender for GOTY, and we're just getting started with 2023.

God of War Ragnarok is one of Sony's best games in recent years and it is on PC very quickly after only 2 years of PS jail, it running amazingly with big spec support, however a little too restrictive in gpu options and graphical settings.

Sony's ports are back with a port that officially brings the entire The Last of Us series to PC, and it's hard to say it's not an exciting . The PC version of The Last of Us Part II is as much a celebration for fans of the brand as it is for those of us who are going to try this masterpiece for the first time, and it's therefore very difficult not to recommend it to anyone who wants to experience its journey.

Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game the industry should celebrate—bold, emotional, and uniquely tied to its medium. It challenges players to feel the beat, merging gameplay and storytelling in a way no other format could. With its clever one-button mechanic, a powerful level editor that fuels a creative community, fun two-player mode, and collaborations with top rhythm games, it delivers one of the most engaging and rewarding rhythm experiences in years.

Again we turn to the indie game devs in order to get a game that is this polished and satisfying to control. Gravity Circuit is really guilty of false advertising: It's way flashier and way more satisfying than what the store page description is telling you. Truly one of the best games of 2023.
