Bug Fables borrows some ideas from other games, but the execution is fantastic, making the most of them. Behind its cartoony art, lies one of the best indie RPGs of the year.

Arise is exactly what we expect from the indie scene: something special that can’t be found in AAA. Its gameplay isn’t its biggest strength, but it all works towards conveying emotions –and that’s where it shines.

Gylt is a love letter to survival horror as a genre, and we, as fans, enjoyed it a lot. It has some flaws, and it’s a survival horror meant to be “enjoyed" and not “suffered”. If you want a lighter approach to the genre, don’t miss it out.

Tangle Tower is great puzzle game with really good ideas, not only when it comes to gameplay, but also the narrative and the art.

Although it’s a step up compared to its predecessor, Garfield is still far from being able to compete against other kart games. Children who like the character might enjoy it, but that’s pretty much it.

Although not perfect, this third episode is a solid closure for this crazy adventure we’ve had a lot of fun with.

Lost Ember is a beautiful and relaxing walking simulator, quite short, but perfect to sit back and unwind.

The Touryst is an original concept with really good ideas, even if they’re not always executed successfully. However, if you’re looking for an adventure that’s relaxed and unique, give this a try.

Disco Elysium is a revolutionary RPG with an original coversation system and fantastic world and characters. It’s one of those games that take the genre a step further and, if you enjoy it, you shouldn’t miss it.

Shenmue III is definitely more Shenmue, but a flawed one. It’s not as good as the originals, although it brings its essence back and lets us enjoy this timeless adventure one more time.

Behind a problematic launch, there’s a good game with a great story. It tries to do more things than it should, but overall it’s worth your time.

Deadly Premonition arrives on Switch with a version that keeps all the positive and negative things. An amazing and unique adventure that’s still outshines its outdated gameplay and horrible performance.

Asterix and Obelix are back with a disappointing adventure. It’s enjoyable if your a big fan and you’re playing with a friend; if not, the are many better options.

Yaga is great adventure with some RPG touches. We’ve found it very charming and, even if it is quite short, it’s also replayable.

This is an interesting beat ‘em up for Kunio Kun fans. It’s going to be quite divisive, so give it a try and decide whether you love it or hate it.

Contracts is a good option for hardcore fans of the series, but its flaws make it harder to recommend to a wider audience. It is expected, though, that upcoming patches will make it a much more appealing experience.

This Netflix adaptation is one of those games made for fans of the series, as fans of the genre have much better options available.

Superliminal has a fantastic concept, but its puzzles are quite irregular. Some of them are excellent, while some others are not very inspired. If you like this type of first person puzzle-based adventure, though, you should give it a try.

It’s always good to have classic franchises like this back, even if it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. If you miss this series, you’ll have a as good time with it.

Terminator: Resistance doesn’t have a big budget behind it, and its shortcomings are obvious. If you’re not bothered about the license, there are many games out there that are a better option, but if you really want to play a game based on the movie, it can be interesting.

Respawn have done an amazing job creating an adventure Star Wars fans cannot miss. This is the game we’ve been waiting for many years, and we are not disappointed. There are some flaws, although the experience, overall, is fantastic.

This year’s entry feels like a big step forward for the franchise, even if the new additions aren’t that big. It’s definitely one of the best titles of the series that brings a deeper take on management.

Sparkle might look a little bit Zelda-ish, but it’s actually a roguelike with no big surprises. If you enjoy the genre, you’ll have a good time with it.
