Bigger, longer, better, funnier, and the list goes on and on. It comes closer to perfection, and even though there's still room for improvement, Borderlands 2 will be one of those game we'll remember in a few years when we think about "the previous generation".

This is probably the darkest, weirdest and most unique Zelda ever released, and it's still as good as it was on N64. The visual improvements and the gameplay tweaks are reason enough to go back to it, if you haven't played it before.

Iceborne is an amazing expansion that makes even better one of the best games of the generation. It might not be a new game, but it still is one of the best things we’ve played in a long time.

Cocoon is one of the biggest surprises of the year for us. Thanks to its magnificent design, this one-button game ends up being more surprising and memorable than most AAAs these days.

It is an almost perfect game in what it offers. Although it might be further polished in the visual aspect, or have a better adjusted difficulty curve.

Obsidian has met the expectations and delivered an outstanding old-school RPG, which doesn't feel "old" at all, but "classic".

It Takes Two is an incredible cooperative adventure that surprises us over and over again. Beautiful, charming, and wrapped in deceivingly childish story, it’s a game you need to play.

Rez Infinite makes you believe in the power of VR. It's funny that a 14-year-old game is one of the best examples of this, but it's a game you have to try if you have a PSVR.

Don't think for one moment that The Beatles Rock Band is just a new title in the series. The Beatles drew the masses in their time like no one before, and when you start playing this title you feel yourself submerged in this sparkling sensation.

If you didn't like Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood will hardly convince you, but if you are one of the series followers, this game is a great sequel to the previous one. It polishes its mechanics and includes many things to do in the city, and it adds a very enjoyable multiplayer mode which brings some freshness to PS Network and Xbox Live.

It is not a game for everyone, but From Software can again be proud of producing an instant classic in the action-RPG genre, which will be talked about for years. It is not as surprising as the original Demon's Souls, as we had great expectations for this spiritual sequel, but it improves on it and becomes one of the greatest games of the year.

Pokémon Pokopia delivers a charming, surprisingly vast life simulation and building adventure, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the franchise. It masterfully blends elements from Animal Crossing and Minecraft, forging a unique identity with deep mechanics and an expansive world. Though inventory management is cumbersome and Pokémon dialogue repetitive, its technical polish and robust multiplayer make it a standout.

Forza Horizon 6 is a fantastic game that we’ve really enjoyed, and we know we’ll keep going back to it, but we expected more after almost five years since its predecessor was released. We believe the series deserves more ambition and creativity, and not only a new map and some QoL features.

Cyberpunk 2077 isn't going to magically become a perfect game, but CD Projekt's title is arguably now in better shape than ever. It still has its shortcomings, such as the lack of importance that our statistics have outside of combat, but many of its other problems have been solved either with previous updates or with the 2.0 update that concerns us today. The Phantom Liberty expansion, for its part, offers us a lot of entertaining and quality content, with some more linear and spectacular moments that have left us with our mouths open and, if we combine both, it seems like the best time to travel for the first time or to return to Night City.

This is one of the best entries of the series. It looks and sounds amazing, and it plays great as well. We miss a multiplayer mode, but other than that, it’s a fantastic Tetris experience that allows you to play this classic like you would’ve never imagined.
