Ultimately, Chrono Trigger is a good classic, as enjoyable today as it was years ago. It has not aged badly, and in fact, it can bring some new fresh features to players who didn't know it, in spite of the later titles they might have played.

We would've liked to see Nintendo pushing its own hardware further with this version, but Bayonetta 2 is one of the best hack & slash ever made, and being able to play it anywhere is just the perfect excuse to discover this masterpiece.

A huge world that makes the most of the Wii with hundres of missions which provide tons of hours of play. Probably the best Japanese RPG in years, and hands down the best of this generation.

You can say its not very innovative in comparison with the original game. But this is a minor thing if we take into account that this is without doubt the best game in the genre, and a great achievement if we consider the great struggle with its rival, that doesn't lose grip.

This is the best and most complete Mario Kart to date, and it works beautifully on Switch. The additions are welcomed, and if you missed it on Wii U, you shouldn't make the same mistake on Switch.

A different HD update. The rest of them take games that were great at their time, but now have been surpassed by their sequels or new fanchises. But Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are still masterpieces by today standards, as are such special games that would stand among the best of the year if made from scratch and released today. A must-have for all who consider themselves passionate about videogames.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is an evolution and deepening of the structure of Persona 5. It is a wonderful turn-based combat game with a fantastic progression system. It is a work with a dazzling artistic section. It is an exciting world, one that we always want to know more about, in which we are presented with a diverse cast of characters that manage to earn our empathy. But above all, it is a game that manages to leave its mark by tactfully dealing with a lot of important topics, with sufficient complexity but without overwhelming them. It is a reflection on democracy, populism, totalitarianism and our role as citizens in society. It is a title that surprises by how it is able to mix the epic with politics and come out of it successfully. Metaphor ReFantazio is an optimistic game with a more transcendental objective than having fun and entertaining us: it wants to make us better people.

One of the best RPGs of the decade arrives on new platforms with the definitive edition. It keeps some of the technical sacrifices of the Switch version, but they can’t take away the greatness of this adventure.

A brilliant city-building and management game with a roguelite structure that makes every defeat a lesson for the next game. Essential for fans of the genre, even if it takes a while to understand all its systems and has a somewhat generic presentation.

Unmatched combination of simplicity and fun in one of the best games in history, which again demonstrates that after 30 years its gameplay is still strong enough to engage us in our new consoles.

Halo: Reach again sets the benchmark of how to make a combat game, be it first or third person. Its freedom to be played and approach any situation makes it a unique game. Its only flaw is the duration of the story, a bit shot, although many will feel compensated by its overwhelming multiplayer mode.
